Halloween Costume Reviews and Buying GuideGrowing up my favorite holiday was Halloween. I always had so much fun dressing up as my favorite superhero or movie character and trick or treating in our neighborhood. Often, one of our neighbors would hold a huge Halloween party so we had another chance to dress up as well. My kids are 8 (daughter) and 4 (son) so I know how fun it is now as a parent to watch my kids enjoy the process. Choosing a Halloween costume can be a tough decision for kids with all the options that exist. The classics are always popular (ghost, clown, witch, goblin, devil, pumpkin, doctor, etc). Kids Halloween costumes are by far and away the cutest each year with children dressed as flowers, dogs, cats, and more. Adult Halloween costumes have come a long way recently with halloween masks that look real, sexy halloween costumes that catch the eye, and halloween props that look authentic. There are several couples that show up with their kids each year dressed as Tarzan and Jane or as a doctor and nurse. Which costume will be the biggest hit of 2009?

They even carry pet costumes which I think are a bit silly, but dog owners can't seem to get enough of these items. When the little guys and gals are all dressed up it doesn't get much better than that. My kids have grown out of the baby costumes, but now my son is totally into Star Wars and this year wants to be either Darth Vader or Yoda. My daughter is completely in love with Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) and the Jonas Brothers. We are still considering costumes for her - we know as parents that she will probably change her mind another dozen times between now and October 31st. For some the best deals it's always a good idea to shop for Halloween outfits right after the holiday but I understand that always isn't possible given how kids change their minds. Costco has a decent selection along with WalMart and Target does a good job of keeping a large inventory on hand for the top selling outfits.
