Reviews of the 2007 BMW Motorcycles:When you think of motorcycles, you probably think of Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, Yamaha, or Ducati, but BMW has produced a world class lineup of motorcyles with their Enduro, Touring, Sport, Naked and Sport Touring series of bikes. BMW has long been recognized as a produced of fine cars that are both reliable and comfortable with sleek styling and innovative designs and details. The same holds true for their motorcycles, with the average cost being about $14,000. They are afforable, fun, and enjoyable vehicles for both long haul riding and short commutes through the city. BMW Motorcycles - Touring - Sport Touring:Motorcycle riders every year take off on road trips that cover 1000's of miles aross the United States, Canada and European countries. Nobody wants to sit on a motorcycle all day that is uncomfortable or hard to ride for long distance and that is where BMW steps in with some great touring bikes. The K1200 LT offers a smooth ride with a high performance feel and tons of amenities for the long treks. There are 44 standard features on the K 1200 LT and it retails for $21900. The R 1200 CL is cheaper at $16650 but still delivers a quiet ride over mountains and cruises on the straights. Lots of torque and an updated 6-speed gearbox make this a gem. The BMW R 1200 RT is our favorite of the touring class cycles at $17050. It not only combines the torque of the Boxer engine with a smooth ride, but you the sleek design and performance make this cruiser a fun bike to ride even on short rides. Comes with a luggage system, adjustable seat, electric windshield, and an optional Navigator II system. Looking for something sportier, but still want to tour the country, then try the K 1200 GT. It is a beautiful motorcycle and costs $18800. The engine produces 152 bhp, it has height adjustable handle bars and saddle, and the new BMW Duolever front suspension. The R 1200 ST for $14990 is a reliable long haul motorcycle with lots of power and performance to match. BMW Motorcycle - Enduro - Sport:Enduro bikes are the offroad motorcycles that BMW creates for outdoor enthusiasts. The F650 GS sells for $7500 and is great for street or off-road riding. The F 650 GS Dakar is named after its performance in the exhausting Paris-Dakar rally. This model has the look of a dirt bike and retails for $8200. The HP 2 Enduro is both lightweight and has race suspension for the ultimate performance levels ($19900). At $14700, the R 1200 GS has the style you would expect from BMW along with power from an updated boxer engine. One step up is the R 1200 GS Adventure with "a taller windshield, adjustable seat, extra wide footpegs, rugged 8.7 gallon tank and engine guards, and optional ABS". The design of this motorcycle is both durable and lightweight which is the perfect combination for off-road riders. IF you want something that is only for street purposes, look no further than the K 1200 S with lots of power and handling that it should be meant for track racing. Going 0-60 in 2.8 seconds the engine displacement is 1157 cc's with over 160 HP. Many of the parts on the K 1200 S are produced for track racing machines which makes this street legal motorcycle a beast. The R 1200 S has the 2 cylinder Boxer engine and suspension to match. at $14700, it will be available in stores June, 2006.
