Reviews of the 2007 Cadillac CTS - CTS V:The 2007 Cadillac CTS is just what the car world ordered - an impressive sedan with a bold design (at least for Cadillac), a 250 HP engine, and acceleration from the CTS-V that matches top sports cars. The 2007 CTS standard starts at $29990 and offers a 2.6 liter V6 WT with 210 horsepower, full independent suspension, all speed traction control, 4-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock system, leather trimmed steering wheel with programmable fingertip controls (great feature), remote keyless entry a complete safety system with frontal and side-impact airbags, head curtain airbags, and passenger sensing system. The Premium Bose digital music system is spectacular and makes me think of the Cadillac commercials on TV with Led Zeppelin blaring in the background. Cadillac has done a great job of turning their boring sedans into exciting sports sedans with a hip image through advertising. The 3.6 liter CTS starts at $32690 adnd has a V6 motor that supplies over 250 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission, stainless steel exhaust, 16-in X 7-in aluminum wheels, 8-way power bucket seats, heated outside mirrors and much more. There is an optional 5-speed automatic transmission with electronically controlled shifts that is worth the added $$. Gas mileage is reasonable with 18 mpg city/28 mpg highway. Cadillac CTS Body Kit:Although we feel that the Cadillac CTS looks great the way it is, we do understand that a popular add-on feature is buying a body kit. We found a site that specializes in body kits, especially for the CTS at Wickedbodies.net/03-On-Cadillac-CTS-Body-Kits.html. They cost about $1522 and include front, rear and side pieces. The Cadillac.com site has an excellent accessory section for the CTS with a variety of aftermarket performance parts available online. The most popular are the sport spoiler, 3.6 Liter V6 Carbon Fiber Engine Cover, Exhaust Tips for 3.6 Liter and 2.8 Liter Models, Sport Rocker Molding, Sport Grille, Premium Carpet Floor Mats, Trunk Mat, All-Season Floor Mats, and Vehicle Cover. Cadillac CTS Lease vs Buy:Right now you can get a new Cadillac CTS for $32690 or lease the same car for $329/month for 39 months with $1979 down at lease signing. Considering the strong resale value of the Cadillac CTS (as shown above in the "used" section), we recommend buying versus leasing. The only upside to leasing is if you can write off the lease payment for work purposes which then make it a close call in either direction. If your job allows you to use the lease as a tax write off, then go with the lease if you feel like you will be changing models every 3 to 4 years.
