Reviews of the 2007 Dodge Caliber - SRT4:

The all new 2007 Dodge Caliber is destined to be a classic with a powerful engine, smooth handling, and a comfortable ride. The 3 engine options - 2.4 liter, 2.0 liter, and 1.8 liter motors all have 4-cylinders with dual variable valve timing (VVT). The 2.4 liter engine delivers 172 HP @ 6000 RPM's. The Dodge caliber gas mileage is 23 city/26 highway EPA est. mpg. The 3 model options are the SE, SXT and R/T. The Dodge Caliber SE starts at $13985 and standard features include 5-speed manual transmission (available continuously Variable Transaxle II), P205/70R15 BSW All Season Tires, 15" x 6.0" Steel Wheels, 4 Speakers, AM/FM/CD, Chgr Ctrl, Aux Input Jack (available 6-Disc CD Changer), Cloth Low-Back Bucket Seats, 120-MPH Speedometer, Floor Carpet, Rear 60/40 Folding Seat, and a Powertrain warranty of 36,000 miles or 3 years. For full details with photos and all optional equipment, go to Dodge.com/en/caliber/.

The new 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT starts at $15985 and offers an available 2.0-Liter 4-Cylinder DOHC 16-Valve Dual VVT Engine, while standard features include P215/60R17 BSW All Season Touring Tires, 17" x 6.5" Steel Wheels (Aluminum wheels are available), Leather-Trimmed Bucket Seats are available as well as heated front seats, fog lamps, and SIRIUS Satellite Digital Radio. The Dodge Caliber R/T AWD is our pick of the 3 and starts at $19985 with a standard 2.4-Liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-Valve Dual VVT Engine, Continuously Variable Transaxle II transmission, P215/55R18 BSW All Season Performance Tires, 18" x 7.0" Aluminum Wheels, Steering Wheel-Mounted Audio Controls (we really like this feature), power mirrors, Next Generation Multistage Front Air Bags, Speed Sensitive Power Locks, Supplemental Side Curtain Front and Rear Air Bags, Air Conditioning with Chill Zone Storage, Caliber Badge, R/T Badge, keyless entry, and Soft Tonneau Cover. The R/T is well worth the extra money and the performance from the 172 engine is special. Fuel economy is 24 city/26 highway and passenger room is ample along with a spacious cargo area.

Dodge Caliber Parts - Body Kit:

Since 2007 is the first model year for the Dodge Caliber parts are just coming onto the market. The best place for Dodge parts online has always been at Dodgeparts.com where you can find Dodge Caliber wheels, rims, performance parts (not that it needs many more), aftermarket parts, body kits, and much more. Mopardodge.com is another excellent site dedicated to helping Dodge owners put accessories on their vehicles. For the Dodge Caliber they carry air deflectors, bike racks, cargo totes, chrome molding, car covers, door sill guards, floor mats, hood cover, chrome fuel door, locking gas cap, hitch receiver, splash guards, sport utility bars, interior trim, wheel locks, and watersport carriers. Floor mats are about $69 while a cargo tote run $25. A Dodge Caliber Bike Rack - Roof Mount retails for $149. Once the 2007 Dodge Calibers hit the road, consumers will flock to dealers to pick these cars up, especially the SRT4 model.

2007 Dodge Caliber SRT4:

Dodge describes the new Dodge Caliber SRT4 as having "supernatural performance" and we fully agree. Dodge even set aside a website just for the SRT4 model at Drivesrt.com. The 2007 Dodge Caliber SRT4 has no pricing set yet, but we expect it to be in the high $20k's to low $30k's. With superior handling and a high performance engine, you can expect track type driving form this car. Special features are listed below on this monster of a car:
  • 2.4L Turbocharged I4 engine
  • 300 Horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque
  • 6-speed manual transmission
  • Torsen limited slip torque sensing differential
  • performance tuned suspension and braking systems
  • 19x7.5 inch cast aluminum wheels
