Reviews of the 2007 Honda Motorcycles - Touring/Sport Touring - Cruiser/Standard:

The 2007 Honda Motorcycles are here and ready to be test driven. The Honda Touring Motorcycles include the Gold Wing Premium Audio ($18999), Gold Wind Audio/Comfort ($19499), Gold Wing Audio Comfort/Navi ($21499), and the Gold Wing Audio/Comfort/Navi/ABS. The Gold Wing Premium Audio has a powerful 1832cc flat-six and features six speaker and an 80-watt per channel external amplifier. The transmission is a 5-speed including overdrive, plus electric reverse. The gas tank holds 6.6 gallons and get great fuel mileage. The Gold Wing Audio/Comfort motorcycle has a premium audio and a comfort package (heated grips, heated seat, warm air ducting from the engine to warm your feet, heat passenger backrest). The Gold Wing Navi is our favorite with a powerful engine and the fully integrated, flash-card based Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation. Perfect those exciting treks across unknown parts of the country when you need some quick directions to make your way. You can view maps on a color LCD screen and follow step by step verbal directions. We found it to be the best GPS-based navigation system on any motorcycle. The Gold Wind Audio/Comfort/Navi/ABS has 4 feature packages in 1 motorcycle with the addition anti-lock brakes so you feel safe no matter what the road conditions. For more details go to http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/ and click on the Honda Touring Motorcycles.

The 2007 Sport Touring Honda Motorcycles include the ST1300 and the ST1300 ABS. The ST1300 starts at $13999, has a 1261 cc longitudinally mounted 90 degree V-4 engine, and an electronically adjusted windshield. The luggage racks are removable and the suspension is amazing, especially for those long rides. It's a 5-speed transmission with a shaft drive, front tire is 120/70ZR-18 and the rear tire is 170/60ZR-17. The ST1300 weighs about 650 lbs. and holds 7.7 gallons of gas. The ST1300 ABS ($15099) adds anti-lock brakes and the carburetor is Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) with automatic enricher circuit. The ignition is "Computer-controlled digital with three-dimensional mapping and electronic advance". For more independent reviews on Honda Motorcycles we suggest going to Ppowersportsnetwork.com where owners right up their takes on the latest Honda Motorcycles they own. We read some great things on the new Gold Wings and Nighthawk and Rebel. Speaking of the Honda Cruiser/Standard Motorcycle, the 2007 line is long and impressive with the Valkyrie Rune for $27699 - this hot rod designed motorcycle has an 1832cc horizontally opposed six cylinder engine and looks like it should be on the dragstrip with it's extra long body. The VTX series offers the VTX 1800 ($13199) - 1795cc liquid cooled 52 degree V-twin and programmed fuel injection, The VTX1300C ($9599) - a 1312cc 52-degree V-twin engine and stylish cast wheels and the VTX1300R ($9599) has the same cc sized engine but is liquid cooled and it has retro styled cast wheels. The VTX1300S ($9599) has spoked wheels, a valanced front and rear fenders, and a semi-sweptback handlebar. The 2007 Honda Shadow Sabre ($8699) has a 1099cc liquid cooled engine and new titanium/flame color. The 07 Shadow Spirit is the same price as the Sabre but offers a 3-valve cylinder head design. The Shadow Aero is smaller (with a 745cc engine) and less expensive ($6699). The Shadow Spirit 750 has street-rod styling and the Shadow VLX Deluxe ($5799) gives the classic hardtail custom look. Of course don't forget about the Honda Rebel (a top seller every year) - with a cheap price $3099, you get easy cruising.

Honda Sport Bikes - Interceptor - 919 - Super Hawk - CBR 600:

I have some experience with Honda Sport Motorcycles, I used to own an Interceptor and a Nighthawk. Both ran well and performed beyond expectations. I gave up riding years ago after I got into a wreck with my Interceptor, but I still follow motorcycles closely and love to watch them race. The 2007 Honda Sport Bikes look fast and sleek as usual. The 2007 RC51 is the most expensive at $11999 and you get 999cc 90 degree V-twin engine with twin side-mounted radiators with electric cooling fans. These bikes run hot and I only wish I had 2 radiators to cool mine off during those hot summer months. The RC512 has awesome cornering and handling capabilities (it's won both the AMA and World Superbike crowns), a close-ratio 6-speed transmission, and a 120/70ZR-17 radial front tire and 190/50ZR-17 radial rear tire for sticky handling. The new CBR1000RR ($11299) from Honda features a lighter weight engine with revised fuel injection and increased valve lift. This in turn gives it a faster rev response, a much higher redline, and more peak horsepower. The 320MM Disc brakes allow for quick stops and the 4-2-1 center-up titanium/stainless exhaust looks great. These "crotch rockets" as they are sometimes called are so amazingly fast that beginners should never get on them and goof around. They are dangerous vehicles that often result in death even for the most advanced riders. The Super Hawk ($9299) is ergonomic and fun to ride. The lightweight, race chassis makes for quick maneuvering and fast acceleration (as if these things do go fast enough already). Built with 1 rider in mind, they can support a passenger with a much smaller seat (hold on tight). The 919 ($8399) is less sporty and looks more like a cruiser, but don't be fooled at a stop light and think you can beat this baby off the line. With a 919cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine, this Honda screams as the throttle begs for more. The Honda Interceptor Motorcycle has been around a long time and continues to thrive with the latest 781cc V-4 all for $10499. The stylish undercarriage and beautiful fairing make this a luxury to ride on weekends. The Interceptor ABS goes one step further with anti-lock brakes (Single 256.0mm disc with LBS three-piston caliper with Anti-Lock Braking System). The Honda 599 ($7399) is another "minimalist" sportbike with inverted front suspension, cowl package, and a comfortable seat (can't say enough about that). The 2007 Honda CBR600F4i ($8499) looks like a speeding bullet and with 600cc's it's ready for takeoff. Comes with fuel injection, an aluminum chassis, adjustable suspension, and great brakes. It's the perfect size bike for commuting or enjoying the winding roads on the weekend getaways. The CBR600RR ($8999) is a track ready, street legal CBR with impressive everything. For the younger motorcycle rider in your family, the NSF100 ($4999) should perform just fine with a 99cc air-cooled single cylinder four stroke engine and a 5-speed transmission. A great beginners bike and will allow your youngster to learn cornering, stopping, and how to accelerate properly.
