Reviews of the 2006-2007 Jaguar Cars - X Type - S Type:Jaguar has once again developed a line of cars that superpasses all expectations on luxury and comfort. The X Type has 4 models for 2006 and 2007. The X Type 3.0 is $32995 and V6 DOHC engine that delivers 227 horsepower. Mileage is roughly the same for all Jaguar X Types at 18 city/24 highway. Standard features include 4 year/50000 mile warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance, 5-speed electronic automatic transmission, ABS, airbags and alarm, and beautiful interiors that match the exterior colors. The X Type Sport goes for $36,295, the X Type VDP Edition is $35945 and the X Type Sportswagon lists for just under $37000. Optional equipment for all models are metallic paint, DVD-based navigation system, SIRIUS Satellite radio, and 18-in Proteus wheels.
Jaguar XK8 - XKE:The Jaguar XK Coupe has a pricetag of $75500. The Jaguar website describes the engine as "The advanced 4.2-liter, naturally aspirated V8 engine delivers 300 hp with torque reaching 310 lb.-ft. at 4,100 rpm. Continuously variable valve timing provides instant throttle response and broad flexibility at all speeds" and the Jaguar Sequential Shift as "Operated by either the gearshift or steering wheel mounted paddles, the Sequential Shift allows drivers to choose between ´Drive,´ ´Sport Auto,´ or ´Sport Manual´ transmission modes, offering maximum efficiency regardless of personal preference." The brakes are designed for a performance racecar to handle high speed braking through corners and turns. The XK Convertible runs $81500 and is the same car just with a removable top.
Jaguar XJThere are several special models of the XJ for 2006 and 2007. The standard is the XJ8 for $62495. V8 300 HP engine with Burl Walnut veneer trim and leather seats. the XJ8L is a longer version of the XJ8. The 2006 Vanden Plas goes for $74995. This is your own personal limousine. Includes folding rear picnic trays and a 320 watt Alpine Premium Sound System. The 2006 XJR is a high performance car with 400 HP and an R Performance tuned suspension and disc brakes. The touchscreen DVD based navigation system make this car a gem for $79995. The 2006 Super V8 ($91995) is described as "simply the best of the best" by Jaguar. With so many standard upgrades on this model, you get your moneys worth.
