Reviews of the 2007/2008 Lexus Automobiles - LS430 - GS430 - ES330 - IS350:
Lexus automobiles have slowly been stealing market share from car makers like Mercedes and BMW. Lexus is known for luxury, comfort, and dependability. The stylish LS430 from Lexus is their top of the line sedan. The LS430 starts at $57220 with a 4.3 liter V8 and 278 Horsepower. It offers 6-Speed Sequential-Shift Automatic with 5 passenger seating and solid gas mileage. Lexus is a division of Toyota and carries all the safety features and reliability records you would expect from a Japanese car maker. The Lexus GS is a performance sedan that comes in 3 options - GS430 6 Speed automatic V8 RWD from $52070, GS300 6-Speed Automatic V6 AWD $45795, and the GS300 6-Speed automatic V6 RWD from $43845. The GS delivers up to 300 HP from a 4.3 liter engine that is designed to move. The ES is a smaller sedan, but still is fast with a powerful 3.3 liter V6 engine that gives you 216 horsepower. The smooth 5 speed automatic makes driving the 2007 ES 350 a pleasure. Starts at $32995 with plenty of additional options if you want.
The Lexus IS is a sport luxury sedan with 4 models to choose from - IS 350, IS 250 (3 variations). The IS 350 comes with a 6-speed automatic V6 RWD transmission for $36030. It's sleek design and Active Traction Control allow this beauty to handle with ease. The IS 250 AWD delivers less horsepower but the all wheel drive delivers with consistent handling and cornering capabilities. At $34875 you can walk off the lot and know you are getting a good deal. For those of you who like a manual shift, the IS 250 RWD Manual will fit you nicely. The V6 2.5 liter engine allows you to wind through the gears and accelerate like a true sports car. It seems that Lexus continues to deliver better products each year. We think the GS is the best price for the money.
The LX 470 is the largest of the SUV's that Lexus offers. It's price tag of $68090 is quite high, but if you want an SUV with quality features, this is your car. The 4.7 liter V8 delivers 275 horsepower and plenty of low end torque for pulling trailers, boats, you name it. The city MPG of 13 is low, so don't use this as a commute vehicle. The GX470 comes with a powerful V8 (263 HP) 4WD, rear air suspension, hill start assist control, speed sensitive steering, five-speed automatic and ultra-low emissions. Starting at $47330 it's much cheaper than the LX 470 and is a good mid-range SUV. The RX 350 is at the low end for Lexus, but this SUV does the job for just under $40K. The 5 passenger V6 AWD vehicle gets decent gas mileage and has the room to store plenty in its rear compartment. They are more aerodynamic than the GX and LX which equate to good mileage. The 2006 Lexus Hybrid RX 400h is just what the SUV market needed, an efficient automobile. The GS 450h hybrid will be available in 2006 as well and the 2007 Hybrid will put Lexus out in front with gas friendly SUV's. Hybrid technology is the future and Toyota and Lexus are showing us it's the present as well. Hybrids are more expensive, but with the price of gasoline not going down, they are worth the extra $$ if you keep the car more than 3-4 years.
2007/2008 Lexus SC 430
Want a hardtop convertible that looks like something James Bond would drive. Then the Lexus SC 430 is perfect. Starting at $66050 it's not cheap, but then again its features are one of a kind. You get a 6-speed automatic V8 RWD with 288 horsepower. The SC has a sport-tuned suspension which gives your tires the best contact to the road at all times. The rear wheel drive feature allows for easy driving during high speed. Like most true sports cars, this 2 seater offers thrills along with true luxury.
