2006 and 2007 S Class Mercedes

Now in its 9th generation, the S Class brings intelligent design to the forefront. The S Class continues to push the envelope for 2007 with a number of new, innovative features, like the new COMAND system with and 8 inch LCD display touch screen with voice control, Drive Dynamic seats with 11 pneumatic chambers for total personalization, 4 levels of massage built into the front seats, Touch Shift manual shifting on the steering wheel, electronic parking brake that sets and releases with a button push, radar-assisted Park Assistant to eliminat blind spots when backing up. The S550 comes with a V8 5.5L engine capable of 382HP and a seven speed transmission. Also new is the Distronic Plus cruise control that maintains a fixed distance from the vehicle in front of you, even in stop and go driving. There is also an optional Night View Assist that uses infrared to display a heads up view of objects, animals, or people along the road more than 500 feet beyond the range of your headlamps. The display appears on a high resolution screen on the instrument panel, essentially letting you drive by watching a video screen.

2007 S Class option packages

The 2007 S550 is so luxuriously appointed out of the box, that it offers only a few option packages. There is the AMG Sport Package with special body styling and 19" 5 spoke light alloy wheels; the rear seat package with power seats, heated and ventillated seats, and 4 zone climate control; the Premium package with heated and venitalated front seats, electronic trunk closer, and integrated cell phone with voice control; the premium II with keyless go and parktronic; and Premium III with night view assist, dynamic rear view monitor, and multicontour seats with 4 level massage.
