Reviews of the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse - GS - GT:

The Mitsubishi Eclipse is an affordable sports car with that comes in 2 models - the Eclips GS and the Eclipse GT. The Mitsubishi Eclipse GS comes standard with a 2.4 liter MIVEC engine and has a choice of a 5-speed manual or Sportronic automatic transmission. The base model starts at $19699 and the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT ST goes for $24299. Back to the Eclipse GS, it has a 140-watt CD/MP3 audio stereo system with 6-speakers, 17-inch five spoke alloy wheels, an alarm system, halogen headlamps, A/C, a split fold-down rear seat, ABS, rear spoiler, and superb safety with 6 airbags. The GS has 160 horsepower gets 23 city/29 highway miles per gallon. The Sportronic tranmission costs about $900 more than the manual version, but we strongly recommend it for a smoother performance and more comfortable ride. You can view all the features of the GS at Mitsubishicars.com/eclipse/.

The 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT comes with a 3.8 liter MIVEC V6 engine (offered in 5-speed Sportronic transmission), stainless steel exhaust finisher, parabolic fog lights, and 263 horsepower to boot. The 24-valve motor is smooth and accelerates fast like a true sports car. The interior is stylish with room for 4 and the leather heated front seating is offered through a package. You may have seen some of the Mitsubishi Eclipse cars in the movie Fast and Furious. Mitsubishi offers a great warranty on the new 2007 Eclipes with a 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty, a 5-year/60,000 mile fully transferable bumper-to-bumper new vehicle limited warranty, a 7-year/100,000 mile anti-corrosion/perforation limited warranty and 5-years of unlimited roadside assistance. Drive your new Eclipse hard and enjoy the ride with all that protection. Having riden in a 2000 Eclipse some years back, I was able to test drive the newest Mitsubishi Eclipse and found it to be much faster and responsive in corners than the 2000. I expect the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse to go beyond the current standards and steal more market share from the competition. You can read further reviews on the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse at Carsurvey.com, Mitsubishi.Edmunds.com, or Carreview.com. The 2007 Misubishi Eclipes Spyder is a convertible version of the Eclipse and sells from $25,389-$29,169. There are 2 models, the GS and GT.

Mitsubishi Eclipse vs Ford Mustang - Chrysler PT Cruiser - Mazda RX-8 - Acura RSX:

The Mitsubishi Eclipse has better features, more horsepower, and stylish looks that the other models can't match. The Eclipse and RX-8 are the most expensive, but the added power and torque are worth the $$. The one drawback may be the safety features of the Eclipse which seem lacking compared to the Mustang or RX-8. I'm sure the exposure in the Fast and Furious movies hasn't hurt the cars reputation at all with more young kids wanting to buy Eclipses and "trick" them out like the ones in the movie. With demand high, and performance rated high by owners, the Mitsubishi Eclipse should continue to lead this class of vehicles.

Used Mitsubishi Eclipse:

Don't want to pay the premium for the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse, then take a look at the used models from 2000, 2005, 1995, and 2003. These are the most popular years of the Eclipse and many are available online through sites like Automotive.com. You can get a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS w/ 14K miles for about $22,500. A 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT w/ 75K miles goes for about $10,000. Go back even further to the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS w/ 100K/miles for about $3500. You can do some great research on Carmax.com, Autobytel.com, or Edmunds.com.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Parts - Body Kit:

A Mitsubishi Eclipse is much like the Honda Civic in terms of what owners like to do with them, and that is customize them with all the accessories possible. The most popular accessory items for the Mitsubishi Eclipse are all weather floor mats ($60), alloy fuel door ($140), car cover ($260), cargo mat ($80), cargo net ($30), cargo organizer ($56), license plate frame ($30), mudguards-4 ($90), nose mask ($170), pollen filter ($30), smoker's kit ($40), sport carpet floor mats ($62), sunroof wind deflector ($65), and wheel locks ($30). Aftermarket performance parts are just as popular - body kits, turbos, or exhaust systems. You can find Mitsubishi Eclipse parts online at Carpartswholesale.com.
