Reviews of the 2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice:The 2006 Pontiac Solstice is a "pure roadster where every line, every curve, is shaped by pure design". That is how Pontiac describes their new car. We have to say that for the price, you get a nice little convertible that has some spunk to it. The 2 seater, 177 HP roadster gets reasonable gas mileage 20 city/28 highway and it looks like a smaller version of the Cobra cars. The engine is a 4 cylinder 2.4 liter DOHC and the transmission is a 5-speed manual. The overhaul handling was quite impressive with 18" wheels. Priced at $20490, you get a cute, yet fast car withi 7 colors to choose from. If you are looking for a change of pace from boring sedans, then the 2006 Pontiac Solstice will light your fire with rapid acceleration and top down excitement.

We feel that any sports car under $25K is sacrificing either in performance, luxury, or durability since they are 1/2 off compared to their more expensive counterparts (Corvettes, Porsches, etc). We found some great used Porsche Boxters for around $25K that would outdo any of the above cheaper sports cars in a heartbeat. Consider a quality used sports car in place of the lower quality new ones.
Pontiac Solstice Dealers and Used Pontiac Solstices:The Pontiac Solstices are hard to find on the used market. Their owners are happy with the car and are not selling them. We recommend using sites like Ebay, Autobytel.com, and Cars.com and be patient since the Pontiac Solstice is a rare car and not many are available at this time. Perhaps the 2007 Solstice will be more plentiful as their popularity grows. You can always go to Pontiac.com to find the local Pontiac dealer in your neighborhood and inquire about used Pontiac Solstices. Often a dealer has many connections across the US and can locate a particular car for you.
