Reviews of the 2006-2007 Saabs: 92X - 93 Sports Sedan - 93 Convertible - 95 Sedan:
Saab doesn't make a lot of cars, but they have continually made well built cars that American seems to be drawn to. The latest line of 2006 Saab cars includes the 9-2X with 2 models, the 2.5i and the Aero. The 9-2X Aero is what we prefer and it sells for $27670 and offers a turbocharged 2.5 liter engine that delivers 230 HP. There is a direct ignition system with an option for a 5-speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. The all wheel drive vehicle performs well in tests and should be a big seller. The 9-3 Sports Sedan offers both the 2.0T or the Aero. Once again the 9-3 Aero Sports Sedan is our favorite with a sleek design, incredible performance (V6, 250 HP) for $32620.
The 9-3 Convertible is the car that Saab is famous for with plenty of power and precision to complement the good looks. The 9-3 Aero Convertible sells for less than $43K, but the 2.0T is not to be outdone with plenty of features and options that make it just as attractive. Looking for a more versatile wagon, then the 9-3 Sportcombi may be what you need. With added cargo space, plenty of room for 5 passengers, and style and luxury associated with Saab the Sportcombi model is fun to drive. The high end Aero Sportcombi starts at $33620. We've heard great things on the 9-5 2.3T Sedan with a redesigned look and feel. The 260 HP inline 4 cylinder engine makes this Saab a great weekend car for drives on the open highway. The stylish interior and curved exterior complement one another and all of it is priced below $35K. The 9-5 Sportcombi model gives you added space for storage and a more versatile wagon feel. We prefer the sedan over the Sportcombi, but try both since they offer very similar packages.
2006 Saab 97X SUV:
When we first heard that Saab was offering a 2006-2007 SUV called the 9-7X we thought it would not compete well in the SUV market since Saab is not known for producing great SUV's. We apologize for the judgement since the 2007 Saab 9-7X 5.3i ($41240) is well equipped with a V8 5.3 liter 300 HP engine ready for anything you need. The interior is nice and roomy and the exterior has rounded edges to present an aerodynamic feel to an SUV. I would give the Saab SUV's a few years to mature before buying so that they can get things right. If you are a Saab enthusiasts then definitely check out the latest SUV line for yourself..
Saab Parts
Saab has made some great models through the years and parts are at a premium as people look to fix up older models and keep them around. The most popular Saab cars are the 900 Saab, 9000 Saab and the Saab 340. To find parts for all those and many more Saab models, go to TheSaabSite.com, SaabPartsDirect.com, or SaabCentral.com. All sites offer discounted pricing, parts and accessories listed by year and model, and forums for Saab owners to discuss cars and local Saab clubs.
Saab Dealers and Used Saabs:
The main Saab USA site is at SaabUSA.com and gives you a detailed review of all the latest 2006-2007 models they offer including up close looks at future Concept cars like the Saab 9X, Saab 93X and the Saab Aero X. Saab has a nice section on the site as well for certified pre-owned Saabs with dealer incentives. You can find the local Saab dealer by typing in your ZIP code. Out of all the car sites we visit, Saab did a great job with making the site easy to navigate find what you need. Another great place to find used Saabs is on Ebay or AutoTrader.com.
