Saturn cars are now part of American culture, but that wasn't always the case. Saturn hasn't been around for decades like other car manufacturers, but they marketed their cars properly and advertised a "no hassle buying experience" which car buyers flocked to. No one likes to haggle over a car price with salespeople and Saturn knew that when they decided to do away with price negotiations. All pricing is final and there are no worries from customers when it's time to purchase a new Saturn. Saturn has even simplified their offerings down to just 4 models these days. The Saturn Sedans are the Ion Quad Coupe and the Ion Sedan.

The Saturn Ion Quad Coupe has rear quad doors, a 5 star safety rating, automatic headlamps, front/side air bags, steel spaceframe, dent resistant side panels, 16-inch alloy wheels, sport tuned suspension, anti-lock brakes and traction control, CD/MP3/XM Satellite Radio, and much more. The Ion Red Line has a base price of $19990, with the ION-3 going for $16190 and the ION-2 selling for $13490. The ION Sedan (ION-2) comes with a 140 HP engine, 2.2L, DOHC 4- Cylinder. Sells for $12490. The ION Sedan ION-3 offers an enhanced performance package for $995. Both are offered in manual or automatic transmissions.

Saturn SUV - 2007 Vue:

Saturn was a little late to the market with their SUV, but the 2007 Saturn VUE has been getting rave reviews. The VUE offers 3 model types - VUE FWD 4, VUE FWD 6, VuE AWD V6. The VUE FWD 4 starts at $17990 and offers an ample 143 HP from a DOHC 4- Cylinder 5 Speed manual transmission. The VUE FWD V6 supplies a lot more HP (250) from a 3.5L SOHC V6 5 speed automatic. List price is $21990. The VUE V6 all wheel drive comes standard with a 250 horsepower engine and it too has a SOHC V6 5-speed automatic transmission. MSRP on this model is $23650. All 3 models have enough horsepower for around town, but the 250 HP options are better for towing or passing while on road trips. Saturn automobiles have always had great customer satisfaction and we think the Saturn VUe will keep up those standards.

Saturn Minivan - Relay

The Relay looks like an SUV, but functions like a good old minivan with flexible seating for 7. All the standard safety features from Saturn are on this model - steel spaceframe, automatic headlamps, front/side air bags, 5 star safety rating. The performance of the Saturn Relay was quite good with a 240 HP engine, towing capacity, StabiliTrak, all-wheel drive, and anti-lock brakes with traction control. There is an option DVD entertainment system, PhatNoise Mobile Digital Media, and XM Satellite Radio with plenty of storage systems. The Relay-2 FWD goes for $23490, the Relay-3 FWD $27490 and the most expensive of the 3 was the Relay-3 AWD at $29,990. There is a premium Seating package offered and a convenience package offered on the higher end models.

2007 Saturn Sky - Aura

The 2007 Saturn Sky adds a little sportscar action to the Saturn lineup of cars. With its sleek look (similar to the BMW Z3 Roadster), the Sky offers 177 HP from a 2.4 liter DOHC engine. Comes in a 4 cylinder automatic or manual transmission. The convertible cloth top is convenient for quick changes and the price $24540, make this a very affordable sportscar. I think we will be seeing future models of this car. The 2008 Saturn Sky is already in the works. The Saturn Aura is another concept sedan that looks impressive and with a potential 2008 Saturn Aura model coming out, we look forward to seeing what it can do. The VUE GL is due out in Fall 2006 with a versatile model (part SUV - part Minivan).
