Subaru has an exciting line of new 2006 models in store for consumers with the Impreza, Legacy, and Outback. The latest Legacy 2.5i Sedan comes with a 175 HP engine that supplies power and performance with the all wheel drive system. Prices start at $21695. The Legacy 2.5i Wagon has an MSRP of $22695 and many of the features are the same as the Legacy sedan except there is additional cargo room with the wagon. If a little more power is what you want, then we suggest the Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Limited Sedan with a 250 horsepower turbocharged engine which comes fully loaded with top end stereo and all wheel drive. The Legacy 2.5 GT Limited Wagon starts at $31195 and again is identical to the GT sedan except for the added cargo space. The Outback is one of the most famous cars from Subaru and still gets plenty of sales each year with a sport or wagon model offered. The Outback Sport is priced under $20K and meant for off road driving with a 2.5 liter engine and 4-wheel independent suspension.

The Outback 2.5i Wagon starts at $24795 with a 4 cylinder engine (2.5 liter) and plenty of versatility for families with all needs. The Outback 2.5i Limited Sedan lists for $27395, comes with leather trimmed upholstery, dual zone automatic climate control and 4-wheel independent suspension. The Outback 2.5 XT Wagon is a touch pricier at $28595 and offers 250 HP from a 2.5 liter Subaru boxer engine. The 6 disc in dash CD changer is a great feature. The Outback 3.0 R Wagon, 3.0 R LL Bean Edition, and 3.0 R LL Edition Sedan are built with precision and performance but have a sporty engine for car enthusiasts who want power and handling. Subaru makes a complete line of Impreza sedans starting with the Impreza 2.5i for $18295 and the Impreza 2.5i Sports Wagon. Powered by 173 HP engines they are economical and practical. The Impreza WRX TR adds more power (230 HP) and starts at $23995. The 2.5 Liter DOHC intercooled turbocharged boxer engine supplies the speed. The Impreza WRX Sedan and Wagon models are very similar to the WRX TR with a price tag that is just under $25K and they are built with a "rally" car in mind. Our favorite is the impressive Impreza WRX STI ($32995). Subaru describes the STI as the "ultimate rally-inspired road machine" with a 300 HP engine that delivers 300 lb-ft of torque at 4000 RPM.

Subaru Baja:

The Subaru Baja has a unique look and the Baja Sport starts at $22495 with 165-HP from a 2.5 liter boxer engine. The switchback system has a fold down rear seatback with pass-through door to the cargo area. The Baja Turbo prices out at $24595 and adds more HP and torque. There is an optional leather package offered on the Subaru Baja Turbo.

Subaru SUV - Forester - Tribeca

Want a small SUV that still gives you enough cargo space and seating capacity for the average size family with gas mileage to boot, then go with the Subaru Forester. The Forester 2.5 X starts under $22K and fits almost any lifestyle whether you need to haul the kids around to soccer on weekends or enjoy camping weekends with the dog. The Forester 2.5 X LL Bean Edition has the same body style, but adds more luxury features. The Forester 2.5 XT ($27895) from Subaru has comfort (leather seats) and performance (turbocharged 230 HP engine). This is truly a luxury SUV for under $28K. The Subaru B9 Tribeca is a more upscale SUV that offers models for 5 or 7 passengers. There is plenty of power for passing and the styling reminds me of the smaller Lexus SUV's. The B9 Tribeca Limited model comes with leather upholstery and an optional navigation system.
