Reviews of the 2007 Toyota Camry - Camry Hybrid:

The Toyota Camry has been a best selling auto in America for well over a decade now and the 2007 Toyota Camry will be no different. Offered in 4 models - Camry CE - Camry LE - Camry SE - Camry XLE. The Toyota Camry CE starts at $18270 with a 4 cylinder 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed ECT-i transmission for $19320. Standard features include 16 inch steel wheels with P215/60R16 tires and full wheel covers, cruise control, front cup holders, trunk luggage box, driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, and front and rear crumple zones and side-impact door beams. The Camry LE starts at $19450 and offers an optional V6 6-speed ECT-i transmission for $23040. We prefer the Toyota Camry SE for $24315 with the V6 3.5 liter 24 valve engine and 248 horsepower. The standard 6 speed transmission makes driving this car easy and fun. Performance tires and suspension keep the SE on the road and headed in the right direction. Owners say the 2007 Camry has a sportier feel than the 2006 models and we agree. With added horsepower and superior handling, the 2007 Toyota Camry will surely remain as one of the highest selling sedans in America.

The 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid for $25900 is just what America needs. Combining the top selling sedan with hybrid techology at a reasonable price. Cheaper than the Toyota Prius, the Toyota Camry Hybrid has a JBL AM/FM 6-disc CD changer with satellite radio capability. Also MP3/WMA playback capability and hands free phone via Bluetooth wireless. The multi-information display with ECO Drive Level hybrid system energy flow gives you average driving speeds, average fuel economy, and outside temperature. Comes with a trunk mounted cargo net, a top rated safety record, and the Camry Hybrid has an EPA rating of 40 MPG highway. The 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine offers up 147 HP which is plenty of power when commuting. We feel that the Camry with its new hybrid technology will dominate sales and potentially eat into their own Prius sales in 2007 and 2008. You can do more research online at Toyota.com/Camry/ or at car research sites like Consumer Reports or Edmunds.com. One other important note is that many of the hybrid vehicles sold in the United States give a special deduction back to the owner when you file your taxes with the IRS.

Toyota Camry Solara:

The new 2007 Toyota Camry Solara is exciting and fun to drive. There are 4 models to choose from - SE Coupe, Sports Coupe, SLE Coupe, SE Convertible. The SE Coupe starts at $19930 and the Sports Coupe goes for $22200. They both come standard with 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve VVT-i 4-cylinder 155 hp @ 6000 rpm 158 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm and have available a 3.3-liter DOHC 24-valve VVT-i V6 210 hp @ 5600 rpm 220 lb.-ft. @ 3600 rpm. Available is a 5-speed electronically controlled sequential automatic overdrive with intelligence (ECT-i) and the Sports Coupe offers P215/55R17 tires. The Toyota Camry Solar SE Coupe and Sports Coupe get about 25 miles per gallon with the 4 cylinder in the city and 34 on the highway. If you go with the V6, then the mileage drops to 21 city/29 highway. The SLE Soupe seats 5 comfortably and has 13.8 cubic feet of luggage/storage space. The fuel tank holds 18.5 gallons of gas. The Camry Solara convertible has 3 options - SE Convertible, Sport Convertible, SLE Convertible. The Toyota Camry Solara SLE Convertible is a superb vehicle that comes standard with a 3.3 liter 24 valve V6 210 hp engine. Mileage is a reasonable 20/29 but we are willing to forsake a little mpg for a superior ride that feels sporty, stylish and comfortable. The SLE Convertible goes for $30460. You can also get DVD navigation, Bluetooth wireless, and mp3 compatibility. You can see further details at the Toyota.com website.

Toyota Camry Parts - Used

With the Toyota Camry a top selling car for the last 10 years or so in America, parts are plentiful and you can find some great deals online at places like 1AAuto.com with AC cooling fans, bike racks, car covers, carpet, catalytic converter, door handle exterior, EGR valve, exhaust manifold, floor mats, gas tanks, grille, headlights, parking lights, intake hose, power window motor, radiator, radiator fan, shocks and struts, side view and rear view mirrors, tail lights, weatherstripping and window regulator. Other popular accessory items are Toyota Camry fog light kits, body kits, and rims. Andysautosport.com is an excellent source for Toyota Camry body kits at about $710 for a full kit.

Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord vs Nissan Altima:

The Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord have been the best selling vehicles over the last decade and comparisons have always been drawn up between them. Even the Nissan Altima is considered in their class and so we included them as well. The Camry and Altima have always performed better in terms of a sporty feel. The Accord is reliable, conservative, and durable. The Toyota Camry was originally made in much the same way as the Accord, but has taken on a sleaker edge in the past year or so. We feel it's overall performance has finally surpassed the Honda Accord. Nissan used to have a larger market share in the U.S. but it has slowly declined in recent years as they are no longer competitive with certain classes of cars. Stick with the Toyota Camry for overall driving experience.
