The Toyota Sienna is one of the top selling minivans in America and the 2006 Toyota Sienna has 4 models to choose from. The versatility really shines through on this years Sienna with a nice 60/40 Split & Stow 3rd Row seat, an optional rear-seat DVD entertainment system with a 9 inch screen, and seating options of with up to 8 passengers. Safety has run this vehicle as a family car for years and it has only become better. You get a driver front airbag and passenger front airbag with "Advanced Airbag system" and side mounted air bags. The reinforced steel body withstands minor wrecks and a collapsible steering column and crumple zones help minimize injuries as well. There are 9 color selections to choose from and the mileage on the 2WD is 19/26 while the AWD gets 17/23.

The standard engine is a 3.3 liter DOHC 24-valve WT-i V6 with 215 hp and 222 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a 5 speed electronically controlled automatic overdrive with intelligence. The Sienna CE starts at $23775 while the next step up is the Sienna LE for $25280. There is a significant price increase to the Sienna XLE ($29725) and the top end model is the Toyota Sienna Limited starting at $36180. The Limited package is fully loaded and goes way beyond the minivan I remember a few years back. Toyota does a great job of providing afforable, safe vehicles that get good gas mileage. As with any car, we strongly recommend a thorough test drive of several vehicles in the same class. The 2007 Toyota Sienna will add more features and luxury items that todays drivers are demanding from manufacturers. Perhaps there will even be hybrid version of the Toyota Sienna coming soon (2008?).

Toyota offers a "certified used vehicle" section on their site and they will hook you up with a used Toyota at your local dealership. We, however, feel that you can get a better price through the individual secondary market. Ebay Motor is a great site to start with or even Craigslist. Check their auto section for used Toyota Siennas in your area. You can check Kelly Blue Book for pricing and see what options were offered for the year you are interested in. Having your favorite mechanic give the used car a once over is a good idea as well. That eliminates any doubt in your mind that you are getting a quality used car.
