The 2007 Toyota Yaris comes in 3 models - the liftback, sedan, and S sedan. The Yaris Liftback starts at $10950 and has an available MP3/WMA playback capability, 60/40 split, reclining, sliding, fold-flat rear seat, and EPA gas mileage ratings of almost 40 MPG on the highway. The standard engine is a 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve VVT-i 4-cylinder with 106 hp @ 6000 rpm; 103 lb.-ft. @ 4200 rpm. You get a 5-speed manual overdrive transmission (available 4-speed electronically controlled automatic overdrive). The Yaris has all-season P175/65R14 tires and the fuel tank holds 11 gallons. The Toyota Yaris Sedan starts at $11825 and has plenty of standard safety features like driver front airbag and front passenger airbag, side-impact door beams, child-protector rear door locks, and a trunk entrapment release. The engine is the same in all 3 models as well as the transmission options. The Yaris sedan offers more cargo space and passenger room on the interior.

Toyota Yaris vs Chevrolet Aveo vs Ford Focus vs Kia Rio:Ultimately you need to compare the Toyota Yaris to its competitors in order to get a good feel for what you are or are not getting for your money. Toyota Yaris has some great advantages over the Aveo, Focus and Rio. You get standard passenger seat height adjustability, power windows are optional on the Yaris and not even offered on the others, front reading lights are available only on the Yaris, you get 3 rear headrests on the Yaris, and mileage is not even close with the Yaris getting close to 40 MPG on the highway and 34 city. The Kia Rio and Chevrolet Aveo are a touch cheaper (perhaps that is why you don't get so many options) while the Ford Focus is slightly more expensive. The Focus has more horsepower with a larger engine (2.0 liters) and four-wheel independent suspension. They all seat 5 passengers and offer cloth upholstery. If you are a believer in history, then go with the Toyota Yaris, since Toyota sedans have an excellent customer satisfaction rating over the years and consumer reports has always rated their vehicles highly.
