News, Review, and Pictures of the Fuji Finepix E900 9.0MP Digital CameraFinding the best digital camera is always a challenge. The new Finepix might be the answer. Announced in July of 2005, and shipping any day now, Fuji now offers the highest resolution consumer camera on the market at 9 mega-pixels. That is a pretty seriously detailed photo, no problem with 11x17" blow-ups. In a matte-black finish, the E900 has a slight retro look, but packs a 2" LCD screen and a 5th generation Super CCD light sensor, with reduced noise settings up to ISO 800 (which means it works well under low-light conditions, unlike most digital cameras). It comes with a 4X optical zoom (32-128mm) with full manual controls. Start-up speed continues to improve at just over 1 second, while shutterlag is measured in the tenths of seconds - no more missed shots. Detailed info and larger pictures below.
