Guns N Roses Band History:Guns and Roses is hands down the best rock band of all time and some consider them to be the best group period. Guns N Roses originally consisted of Axl Rose, Slash and Izzy Stradlin on guitars, and Steven Adler and Duff Mckagan. The band was formed in Hollywood, California around 1985 after Izzy and Axl moved to Los Angeles from Indiana. They eventually met Slash and the other guys in some local classified ads in a music paper. Guns and Roses started playing all the clubs in Hollywood like The Roxy, The Whiskey, and The Troubador on Sunset Boulevard where they established a loyal following. After countless live shows, drug abuse, and run ins with the LAPD, Guns N Roses was signed to Geffen Records and released Appetite For Destruction in 1987. The debut album took a while to get going, but once the world saw the band on MTV and in concert there was no doubt they would be the biggest band on the planet. They toured with Aerosmith and Motley Crue and shortly after those tours they claimed the crown of being the biggest rock band in the world. In 1991 they released The "Use Your Illusion" albums to a worldwide audience that was eagerly awaiting the new songs and music. In 1992 GNR also had to kick Steven Adler out of the band for his out of control drug abuse. The good news for the band in 1992, was that Axl Rose was the biggest rock star on the planet and became one of the most famous musicians of all time. GNR toured for 2 consecutive years with Metallica opening up for them as they sold out arenas worldwide. Guns N Roses broke up shortly after their tour with Metallica, and even though Axl has tried to put the band back together with new members it will never be the same as 1987.

Some new songs have been leaked on the internet and 2 favorites seem to be "Madagascar" and "IRS". Axl Rose was recently arrested in Sweden after biting a security guard on the leg, reportedly because the security guard was bothering him. It seems that Axl is still out of control, which might be what America is hoping for as they long for the next star. There is also talk in the music industry that Axl and the boys will be releasing a new video for MTV and VH1 any day now.
