There are 3 big players in the online dating world with many others that offer similar products. With the hectic pace of work these days, most people find it difficult to take the time to meet new people and date successfully. Online dating has opened up a whole new avenue for single people to meet their mate. Yahoo Personals, Match.com and American Singles all offer a quality online dating experience. You can search their databases of millions of singles just like yourself and see photos and read bios. Hopefully you find that one person, the perfect match. They all offer monthly plans so that you can take your time and reach out to potential matches and get to know them.
American Singles?:
The best online dating site we found was AmericanSingles.com. There homepage is setup so that you can instantly search their database based on zip code (for local results). There are no pressure signups immediately. The online dating personals were complete with photos of everyone. They offered online dating tips and advice. Free to create your profile and get started. 1 month plans run $29.85 and 6 months are $99.95. It's not the cheapest, but their online dating services were excellent.
Yahoo Personals:
With a free 7 day trial, this is the best online dating service we found. You can search for free and add a profile for free (unlike some of the other sites that pressure you right away to create a profile and signup). Yahoo Personals are $19.95 for 1 month, $44.95 for 3 months, or annually for $99.95. They run an auto-renew on your credit card each billing cycle so be sure to cancel when you are done, otherwise you will get an unwanted bill. As a subscriber, you are in control of your dating life. That means you can send and receive email and instant messages to anyone you're interested in. Yahoo Personal Premier is a new service that features their Smartfit (advanced searching and matching system).
Match.com:
Match.com is the world's largest online dating, relationships, singles and personal services network. With almost 26 million members you are sure to see something you like. They offer a 1, 3 or 6 month plan and prices vary on which one you go with ($29.99-$77.94). Match.com boosts they have inspired twice as many marriages as any other dating site (no data on how many divorces have followed). They offer tips on conversation, when to actually meet in person, how to keep it safe, and advice from celebrities on dating (not sure that is worth much these days). There is instant pressure to signup instead of allowing you to browse for free like it should be. They do offer a free 3 day trial, but you automatically get billed once the 3 days are done, so cancel immediately if you don't want to join after the trial.
Where can I find Free Online Dating?:
You can find free online dating at all the sites (at least in a trial format). They all offer 3 or 7 day trial subscriptions which should give you an idea of the quality of users and if there are any potential matches. In order to contact anyone you will need to be a member/subscriber at which point the service is no longer free.
