Panic At The Disco History and News:

With the average age of the band only being 21 years old, it's amazing how well Panic At The Disco has taken their overnight success. The band formed in Las Vegas Nevada in 2004 and has been rehearsing, recording, and playing live ever since. Band members Spencer Smith (drums), Ryan Ross (guitar), Brendon Urie (guitar/vocals), and Brent Wilson (bass) are good friends and that is what helps them through the tough times as their popularity soars. MTV and VH 1 seem to like the group which will only help their long term success, not to mention you hear them on the radio every 10 minutes with the song "I write sins not tragedies". The band worked hard in Vegas as they wrote and demoed a lot of songs before gaining the attention of Decaydance Records (owned by Fall Out Boy). Panic rehearsed at TK Studios (local rehearsal studio in Las Vegas) where they worked on the music that would become their debut album. Myspace was a huge help for the group who became a big hit on the website and before they knew it they were playing their first live shows (yeah before all this happened they had never played live). Panic switched bass players in 2006 and went on a tour of headlining dates around the country that culminated with appearances in Chicago at Lollapalooza and overseas at the UK's Reading and Leeds festivals. The band is young and hungry, and every kid under 15 years old has their ringtone playing, or has downloaded some Panic At The Disco mp3 to play in their ipod. I don't like the band at all, but I will say it is impressive that their debut album sold over 1 million copies. The band is usually considered to play emo rock, although they don't like that title. You can find out more about the band at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panic_at_the_disco.

Panic At The Disco Tickets / Merchandise / Dvds:

I live in Las Vegas and just recently saw Panic At The Disco play a concert at The Orleans Casino. Tickets for the concert were between $40 and $125 per seat which is about average price for the tour they are on. If you want to buy concert tickets, dvd, or any other merchandise like t shirts then check out ebay.com. Ebay is a great website that sells merchandise in an auction like setting (you set the price on any item you want to buy, if no one out bids you the merchandise is yours). Depending on the venue they are playing, and the city you live in, tickets to a Panic concert will cost between $30 and $200. I enjoyed the concert, but I would not pay to see the band again - I'm not sure I would even go for free. If you are trying to buy their album or dvds then ebay is also a good website to visit. We found their cds for sale for under $15, and there is a lot of merchandise like t shirts that you can pick up for under $30. If you live near a mall, record store, or even a Walmart you might consider just buying their cd in person. The other option of course is to just buy individual songs on the internet where you can download the music straight into your Ipod (as an mp3).
