Party IdeasFounded in 1986, Party City now has over 500 stores and franchises around the US. If you go to their PartyCity.com website, you can find a store locator - just pop in your zip code, and find the closest retail outlets to you. If you are near a major metropolitan area, there are likely half a dozen stores within 20 miles of you. Their merchandise often changes seasonally, so you will find a ton of Halloween stuff in Sept. and Oct., and a lot of Christmas supplies in Nov. and Dec. You can cover all your party needs normally in one visit - from invitations, to tableware (Spiderman napkins anyone?), to hanging decorations, to party favors - if its for a party, they have it. While you cannot order and buy things directly from their website, you can browse and select things and add them to your shopping list, which you then print out and take to the store with you.Their web site has a great section related to party ideas, party tips, and tricks. For example, for a 1st birthday, they have ideas like time capsules, cupcake caterpillars, and baby burgers. For Christmas party ideas, they have printable templates for holiday place cards, holiday tabletop ornaments, letter to Santa forms. If you need party decorations, they have Christmas centerpieces, garlands, candles and accessories, tableware, drinkware, party hats, New Year's Eve party kits with banners, blowers, hats, balloons. Party City Party Planning ChecklistsWhere can I get party planning ideas or a party planning checklist? Hit their website, PartyCityOnline.com. They have party planning checklists for: Anniversary Parties, Baby Shower Parties, Christenings, Birthday Parties, Kuau parties, Mardi Gras parties, Mexican Fiesta parties, retirement party, and more. Their graduation party checklist has a decoration checklist (graduation cutouts, sign in sheets, door and window decorations, graduation balloons, streamers, garlands, balloon table centerpieces, confetti), a favors and gift checklist, and a party supply checklist (plates, napkins, invitations, table cloths, tableware, place cards, disposable cameras, buttons, napkins, etc.).
