A lot of sites have lookup functions where you can type in a baby name and find out its meaning. Start with Baby Center (for example, "Julie" means downy haired, youthful). Also, Enlightened Software has a quick lookup field for baby name meanings, here. They also let you reverse search by meaning, so you can pick a meaning that is special to you and then find baby names that have that meaning. And there is also BabyNamesWorld: "Our site has over 11,000 baby names to find the ones you like best. We have baby boy names and baby girl names. The baby boys names and girls names are accompanied by the meaning of names and the origin of names. This way you will know the name meanings and name origins before selecting the perfect baby names.
