Body Piercing Review and Guide:

Do you want to get your ears pierced? Maybe you want to get you nose pierced? Some of the more popular body parts to pierce are the lip, eyebrow, belly button, tongue, nose, and of course the ears. I have had my ears pierced since I was 16 (about 15 years ago) and I rarely take them out. Some people think that a piercing looks sexy, while other people think that a nose or body piercing looks silly and gross. If you like piercings then go ahead and get pierced because unlike a tattoo (that is for life) you can just remove a piercing if you don't like it. I have thought about getting my nipples pierced for a long time and I have a feeling that once I get the nerve I will hit the local piercing shop to get it done. Depending on what you get pierced you can expect to experience a little pain during the piercing process. Some body parts are known to be very sensitive and painful to pierce - no pain no gain right. When I had my ears pierced it hurt for a second, but once the piercing gun punctured my cartilage the worst was over and I could breathe again. If you go to a local store or mall to get your ears pierced you can expect to pay about $12 for one ear and about $20 to get both ears pierced. If you are planning on getting other body parts pierced be prepared to spend a little money as a nose or lip piercing in Las Vegas will cost you about $50 (price really depends on what parlor you go to and what city you live in).

Getting Your Ear - Nose - Tongue Pierced:

Would you like to get your eyebrow pierced? Maybe you want to pierce your kids ears? I personally would not advise people to get their baby a piercing before the age of 5. You have to remember that a piercing is a delicate addition to the body, and most young children are not mature enough to respect the process (kids tend to pick and pull at things like scabs, rashes, piercings, etc.) If you want to get a piercing somewhere on your body then there are a few things to consider. Is your job or employer going to accept your new piercing, and is your girlfriend (husband, etc.) going to care about you getting pierced? We reviewed the Golden Dragon Piercing Shop in Henderson NV to give you an idea about procedure and pricing, you can reach them at 702 565-5411. Their parlor is approved by the health department and they use only sanitized equipment for tattoos and piercings. Getting your ear pierced will only cost you $15 while a nose ring (which are more delicate) will run you closer to $50. If you are considering getting your tongue pierced then you should be ok with whatever the price is because it's your Tongue. Certain body parts are hard to repair (after being tattooed or pierced incorrectly) so it's in your best interest to pay top dollar if you have to in order to find a good artist.

Finding a Good Shop / Parlor / Place to Get Pierced?:

Do you want to find a local shop that can pierce your ears or maybe your nose? It is very important to be careful when you choose a piercing place because just like tattoos a piercing can easily get infected (if they use a wrong needle, tool, or supply). Nowadays most tattoo and piercing parlors are regulated by the health district, which is good because it ensures the public that these facilities are using sterile needles and equipment. There is a helpful website I found that can find a piercing shop for you in whatever city you live in. Check their website out at joyya.com/US/Piercing-parlor.html. Another way to find a safe place to get pierced is to just ask someone you know like friends, family, or even a co worker. If you can't get someone you know to recommend a good place to get pierced then use the internet to search for a local establishment.

Aftercare Cleaning and Piercing Pictures - Photos :

When you get a body part pierced make sure you take extra care of the piercing to avoid infection. Certain body parts like the tongue and lip are very sensitive and are the most likely to get infected. Just remember these simple rules when it comes to cleaning your piercing and you should be ok. 1. Cleanse the piercing twice a day and cleanse it especially after shampooing, swimming or exercising. 2. Clean your hands before you attempt to clean your piercings and use a new cotton swab to apply the cleaning solution. 3. Don't take out your piercing before the specified time (usually between 4 and 12 weeks). If you have pain, redness, or swelling for more than 24 hours after you get pierced you should consult a professional. For more cleaning directions and pointers check out pagoda.com. No matter what part of your body you get pierced, you must take time every day to clean the immediate area around the piercing with the correct product (you can use mild antiseptic products such as benzalkonium chloride). Usually you can get a proper cleaning supply for about $10 a bottle and we advise you to buy it immediately after getting pierced. Do you want to see pictures of people getting pierced, or body parts after they were pierced? We found a great website at bmezine.com/pierce/bme-pirc.html where you can view thousands of photos or even add your own image of your piercing.
