Best Bracelets:

One of the latest fads is making friendship bracelets and giving them to your friends. Quite popular among the pre-teen and teenage girl demographics, these friendship bracelets signify loyalty and of course friendship. You can make them quite easily with beads or different colored strings. Makingfriends.com has an excellent tutorial that you can follow and produce your own friendship bracelets. Charm bracelets are cheap and a great gift idea for younger men to give to their sweethearts. If you are interested in creating your own beaded bracelets, go to Artbeads.com or Beadtrends.com to find lots of original designs and instructions.

Lance Armstrong Bracelet:

Lance Armstrong (6 time winner of the grueling bike race - the Tour De France) started this a cancer research and resource organization to help fight the disease. He is a survivor of testicular cancer and started the slogan "Live Strong". They created the Lance Armstrong Bracelet as a way to raise money. It's a yellow bracelet/wristband with the Live Strong emblem on it. You can go online to find out more information and even purchase a Lance Armstrong Bracelet at Store-LAF.org or Livestrong.org. It's a great cause and the Livestrong bracelets are only $1.00 and come in packs of 10, 100, or 1200. Lance Armstrong has been an inspiration to 1000's of cancer victims and survivors. If you know anyone who has cancer or is a suvivor themselves, consider purchasing this cancer bracelet as a testimony to them.

Diamond Bracelets:

Jewelry bracelets have consistently been the perfect gift to girlfriends or wifes on special occassions. They are not too expensive and come in a variety of styles - silver bracelets, gold bracelets, tennis bracelets, ankle bracelets, diamond bracelets, pearl bracelets, and charm bracelets. Bluenile.com carries a wonderful line of bracelets, many under $300. One of their top sellers is the 18k White Gold Byzantine Bracelet ($275). Their sterling silver bracelets are very reasonably priced at around $100 or a decent quality one. The charm bracelets are even cheaper at around $30. When it comes to diamond bracelets, you are going to have to spend some money. Our personal favorite is the 18K White Gold Four-Prong Diamond ($2250). You can buy these all online at the website mentioned above. Other good sources of online bracelets are Zales.com or Tiffany.com.

Medical Alert Bracelets:

Medical bracelets started as a way for people to display their medical issues (allergies, heart conditions, etc) right on their wrist. They were to be worn at all times in case of an emergency if they were non-responsive and the medical respondents needed information. Medic Alert Bracelets are a more commercial version of these with gold and silver medical alert bracelets that sells for $40-$70. If you go to MedicAlert.org you can order online bracelets that define your medical issues like diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, food allergies, autism, heart disease, parkinson's, alzheimers, and more. It's an easy way for people to carry around some basic medical needs they have. Newer creations are medical alert necklaces or buttons you carry that will contact a call center if you are in distress and send help. Kind of like a medical alarm that you wear. You can check these out at Alert-1.com Americanmedicalalarms.com or Lifelinesystems.com. If you have an ailing parent that still wants to remain independent and live along, these monitoring type bracelets are great to have for peace of mind.

Magnetic Bracelets - Golf Bracelets:

Magnetic bracelets are seen advertised on infomercials, especially on the Golf Channel. They claim to alleviate pain and restore the body's energy flow. High profile sports stars like Arnold Palmer endorse some of these products and so I gave one a try. I have always had soreness in my right wrist (seems like premature arthritis since I'm only 35 years old) and I like to play golf and tennis at least a few times a week. Doctors have never been able to diagnose the pain so I took the leap of faith and shelled out the $25 for a magnetic bracelet. It could have been psychosomatic, but I did feel less pain while wearing the bracelet. It's not completely gone, but it does feel less painful. I'm a true skeptic and think most people should be with products like these. You can do more research online at AceMagnetics.com, AAAMagnetics.com or BalanceBracelet.com. Many have money back guarantees so you can always return the product if you don't like the results.
