It appears they make buying a handbag/purse difficult enough, perhaps that is why the demand remains high since they are hard to get your hands on. We found a few other online sites that carry Chanel products and they were sold out of the purses when we visited them with no mention of when they would get new inventory in.

The best selection for designer handbags online is at Ebay.com. Now the big caveat is that you beware of fake Chanel handbags, but otherwise there are some great online deals in the secondary market. Choose from leather bags, shoulder bags, totes, evening purses, duffle bags, bucket bags, authentic purse bags, makeup bags, and camera case bags. At the time of this review, there were over 500 Chanel handbags available on the Ebay site. Ebay.com has an excellent "handbags buying guide" section of their site which will guide you through the process of which bag to pick for which occasion. They list every type of imaginable bag with a brief description of each. For instance, hobo bags are small to midsize and come in a small, crescent shape that you can swing over your shoulder. Demi handbags are very popular - carry it in your hand or over your shoulder.

Replica and Fake Chanel Bags:

Chanel is currently trying to deal with fake and replica Chanel purses being produced in Vietnam, Thailand and China. Their famous double C logo is being used illegally on cheaper purses and fake handbags. An authentic Chanel handbag sells for about $1500 while the fakes only cost about $50-$75. They are so concerned about replica handbags being produced that Chanel is known to burn all its leftover stock so that no trace of its brand can be duplicated easily. The whole fake handbag market only ruins the reputation of top purse designers like Chanel and Gucci. Rarely are Chanel bags on sale or even discounted as this would lessen their exclusivity and quality. It is illegal to buy and trade in knockoff trademarked goods, and secondly, who knows what kind of poor quality product you will end up with when trying to spend $40 on a replica handbag that normally costs $600.
