Crocs Shoes - Where to Buy:

Perhaps you've seen these latest shoes on the market. They look like clogs, but have a unique styling that makes them "fashionable". They were originally produced for boating and outdoor activities with a slip resistant, non-marking sole. In 2003 Crocs took off in popularity as an "all purpose" shoe and people loved them for the extreme comfort. Crocs are very soft and actually mold to your feet. They weight about 6 ounces so it's almost like they aren't even there. Plus they are odor and bacteria resistant and can be sterilized in water and bleach. The "port holes" let water or sand pass right through which makes these the perfect beach shoes. My daughter just bought a pink pair of crocs and now we can't them off of her. She wants to wear them everywhere. Crocs are designed to be worn "loose" - meaning your toes should never contact the front of the shoe and the sides of your feet should not be touching the sides of the shoe. There should also be 1/4 to 1/2 an inch between your heel and the strap. Crocs are perfect for boaters, nurses, chefs, gardeners, and travelers. The top models are the Athens, Beach, Cayman, Endeavor, Islander, Kids Cayman, Kids Mary Janes, Nile, Off Road, Prima, Professional, and Scutes. We will review each model below.

The Athens Crocs ($30) resemble a flip flop style shoe with slip resistant soles and it's 'weightless'. The Beach Croc ($30) is the most popular style and considered the "original croc" - comes with orthotic foot bed, ergonomic Italian styling, and molds to your foot. The Cayman Croc ($30) is a slender version of the Beach Croc and offers all the same comforts and advanced toe box ventilation system. The Endeavor Croc ($35) is made of croslite PCCR material and is great for cold, wet climates. The Georgie Croc looks like a rainboot but with more style - sells for $40 and is available only in kids and womens sizes. The Hydro Croc ($50) is something I could see wearing during the wettest months of the year - it has waterproof neoprene construction. The Island Croc also sells for about $50 but the design with laces means this shoe can be worn out on the town. The kids crocs are all about $25 and come in Kids Athens, Kids Caymans, Kids Endeavor, Kids Georgie, and Kids Mary Janes. The toddler and infant crocs are adorable and some of the best looking kids shoes you will find on the market. Other popular Crocs footwear are the Mary Jane Crocs, Motion Crocs, Nile Crocs - which are often referred to as Croc sandals, Off Road crocs, Prima Crocs, Professional Crocs, and Scutes. The Crocs RX models include the Relief, Cloud, and Silver Cloud. They are priced between $40-$50 and are worn by nurses and professional that are on their feet most of the day. Where to buy Crocs? The best source is official website of the company at Crocs.com. They had the most complete inventory of all the sites we searched and complete product descriptions and pictures.

Croc Accessory:

The latest accessory for Crocs are something called "Jibbitz". They are small grommets that fit into all the wholes on a pair of Crocs. Made from sturdy rubberized plastic, you just push the jibbitz through the holes on the top of the Cayman or Beach Crocs. You can buy Jibbitz charms for Crocs on Amazon.com for about $2 - you get items like ladybugs, frogs, dolphins, hearts, crayons, ouchies, scuba fins, and scuba masks. I have yet to tell my 5 year old daughter about these accessory items for her new shoes since I know she will go crazy and want them all. Other Croc accessory and apparel items can be found on their homepage at Crocs.com. They sell board shorts, floppy hats, hoodies, polo shirts, ponchos, socks, visors, pullovers, and graphic t shirts.

Aspen Crocs - Hard to Find Styles:

We tried finding all the models on the Crocs.com website and came up with nothing for some of the more searched for products like the Aspen Crocs, Metro Crocs, and Highland Crocs. You can get some of these models onlien at Gearx.com. They carry the Aspen Crocs for $39.99, the Highland Crocs for $34.99. Actually the Highland has been replaced by the Aspen model and of course the Aspen is more expensive. You can get the Crocs Metro at http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/7925534.html for $40 and from what reviewers said, the shoes are comfortable and perfect for water/garden usage. Imitation and fake crocs are popping up all over as the instant popularity (at least it seems that way) of these shoes has made buyers mad to get a pair. You can buy imitation crocs at sites like X-Wear.com for about $13. The verdict is not out yet on how well they fit or if they are as comfortable as the original Crocs. We went to a few sites on the Internet that claimed to have cheap or discounted Crocs and when we check their inventory they were all sold out. Amazon carried quite a few of the Croc shoes like the Cayman Sandal or the Beach Crocs and you get free shipping when you order a certain amount.
