DC Shoes was founded in Vista, Ca in 1993 and is known primarily as a footwear company. They are best known for making shoes for extreme sports like snowboarding, skateboarding, BMX, motorcross, surfing, and car racing. The company was started by Ken Block and Damon Way when it was originally called "Eightball". Due to some legal problems with a man in Seattle who claimed to own the rights to that name they changed the name to DC Shoes and the rest is history. Originally they only made t-shirts to be sold in skate shops, but over time they realized there was a huge market for cool, hip clothes that kids and adults could both wear. Now it's common to see DC apparel on toddlers, babies, moms, teenagers, and even grown men. DC merchandise is actually pretty cheap when you compare it with other clothing manufacturers as we found shirts for under $15 and shoes selling for about $40 on average. We tried to research a wide variety of DC apparel and hope you will find our reviews helpful as you search for those perfect shoes or new t-shirt.
DC Skateboarding Shoes:
DC Shoes Co. is known for making quality merchandise, but it's really their reputation for making skateboarding shoes that has made them a household name. When I was a kid Vans was the big brand name that we all had to have in order to be accepted as a skateboarder, but back then a pair of "skate shoes" was fairly expensive. DC Shoes makes some skateboarding shoes that are reasonably priced like their DC Court Graffik Men's Skate Shoe that sells for between $27 and $55. The price you pay just depends on the style and color of the shoe that you want so shop carefully. The DC Court Graffik Shoes are made from top quality materials and have the DC logo plastered across the side of the sneaker. The shoes have a sticky rubber cup-sole that provides foot sensitivity and board control for anybody who rides a skateboard. This shoe received rave reviews online and is a big seller for DC shoes USA. Another popular shoe that DC makes for skateboarding is the DC Court Mens Shoe that we found for sale at www.shoesonashoestring.com. The shoe is all white except for the DC logo in black that sits on the side of the shoes. These sneakers have a sticky rubber bottom for extra ground contact, wear, and added flex while skating. They were on sale for just $20.00 so hurry and stop by their website.
DC Shoes Clothing & Apparel:
DC Shoes might be known as a shoe company because their official name is DC Shoe Co USA, but the reality is they make all kinds of clothing items. They design and sell shirts, pants, shoes, hats, hoodies, and shorts. With the help of celebrities like Travis Barker, Mike Shinoda, Lil Wayne, and Adam Sandler wearing their merchandise it looks like you can count on DC Shoes to be around a while. Their apparel is reasonably priced with hats going for about $20 and their shirts selling for about $25 each. DC Shoes makes tons of cool apparel so we just reviewed a few of their best items out on the market today. You can find the official DC Shoes website at www.dcshoes.com, but they also have a cool page on myspace with a custom layout so be sure to check that out also.
