Allstate Insurance Guide and Reviews:

Once you turn 16 years old and buy your first car you are officially involved with insurance companies. After that you will probably buy a house (condo, townhouse) and once again you will need insurance. If you have a family when you get older then you will be confronted with the issue of buying life insurance. As you can see having insurance in America is a necessity and there's really no way around it. Allstate is a superb insurance provider and they have been around for 70 years. Allstate became a publicly traded company in 1993 and now offer 13 lines of insurance including homes, cars, motorcycles, life, health, and commercial. Their company slogan "You're in good hands" has become their current advertising identity (which is not all bad) and as an Allstate customer I can say they are a great company. Allstate is a Fortune 100 company and it's main competitors are companies like Farmers, State Farm, Nationwide, Progressive, and Geico. At the moment Allstate insures one out of every nine autos and one out of every eight homes in America which is a pretty impressive statistic. No matter what type of insurance you are after, Allstate should be able to provide you with a great package (both price and coverage). We reviewed some of the basic information about getting insured through Allstate and we also listed some great links to point you in the right direction.

Finding an Allstate Insurance Agent:

Once you decide to use Allstate as your insurance company (or even if you are still on the fence), you should definitely get in contact with an Allstate Agent. Finding the right insurance agent can really make a difference when it comes to choosing the right policy and feeling like you have the proper coverage. Some things to look for in an agent are patience, honesty, punctuality, and of course somebody who listens to your overall needs and concerns. After you have decided what it is you are looking for in an agent, then you can simply go online to http://agent.allstate.com/agentlocator/searchpage.aspx and start your search. You just need to supply your zip code and address in order to determine what agents are active in your city.

Allstate Auto Insurance:

Did you just get your drivers license? It doesn't matter if you have been driving for 20 years or 2 days, the reality is that all states require drivers to have some form of auto insurance. Each state has different laws and required minimums when it comes to automobile insurance so be sure to go over your options with an Allstate representative. If you are a 32 year old male (single, with a clean driving record) and have an older car you are only to go pay about $75 a month (for liability, collision, uninsured motorist). On the other hand if you are a 32 year male in California with the same scenario as above you might pay closer to $110 a month. Most automobile rates are affected by your driving record, city you live in (specifically zip code), type of car (suv, mustang, honda, etc.) and what type of insurance you want (full, liability only, etc.) At the minimum you are going to need liability insurance to be legal (in most states) so you might as well contact an agent today and see what kind of payments you can expect. If you can pay 6 months or a year in advance then you will be able to save almost 5%. Going with Allstate for your auto insurance has some definite benefits like their Accident Forgiveness Policy, Safe Driver Bonus, Easy Pay Plan, and New Car Replacement. Any Allstate agent will be able to describe these extra features to you in detail.

Buying Allstate Homeowner Insurance:

If you own a home then you are fully aware of what a huge responsibility it is to be a homeowner. Everybody has different needs when it comes to home insurance (ie pool) so you really need to zero in on what is best for your personal situation. Do you own a condo, mobile home, single family home? All lenders (mortgage) are going to require you have home insurance, but there are many options available to you when you pick your plan. Allstate has an informative webpage at www.allstate.com/home-insurance.aspx to help you select your individual insurance policy. Insurance for a home really varies in price due to many factors like location, value of home, policy options, and type of coverage so do your homework. I own a home in Las Vegas (worth about $225,000) and I only pay $405 a year or $35 a month for my coverage. Your best bet when deciding what policy to choose is really just to speak with an Allstate agent and have them clear up any confusion you might be having. Below are a few things to consider when deciding on what home insurance plan is right for your family when you buy allstate insurance.
  • What is your living situation - condo, home, renter, etc.
  • What kind of personal property coverage do you want - jewelry, art, computers, etc.
  • Is your property in a flood zone and does your policy cover flood damage
  • What kind of family liability and guest medical protection do you feel is enough
