What is the best online bill pay service?:Many banks allow online bill pay through their websites. You need an account with online access and then it's pretty simple. Just setup the companies you need to pay each month and the bank takes care of the rest (as long as there is money in the account). It used to be that banks charged for bill pay, but recently major banking institutions like Wells Fargo, Chase, and Washington Mutual have moved towards free online bill pay services as a marketing tactic. Their Premium Plan lets you pay anyone, anytime. Save money on stamps, envelopes and late fees. You can receive bill electronically from over 200 billers and your bills will be paid on the date you set. They currently offer the first 3 months for free and then it's just $4.95/month. We feel that the monthly feel will come down as more companies offer free bill pay services and force the competition down on price.
Bill pay kiosk:Kiosks that accept bill paying are popping up all over. Many cell phone retail stores like Cingular Wireless, Sprint PCS, Verizon, accept payments through these kiosks in their stores. Companies have partnered with convenience stores like 7-Eleven to put in 1000+ bill pay kiosks that accept payments. I'm sure we will see more of these bill pay kiosks pop up in malls, gas stations, and grocery stores in the next few years. Much like ATM machines that you see everywhere, why not have bill pay kiosks all over to make it as easy as possible on consumers.
