We also looked online at Amazon.com to find consumer reviews and opinions to see how they matched the expert analysis.

You put on teh Zeo headband each night and it sends signals to the Zeo bedside alarm clock looking device. The system tracks your sleep progress from how long it took to fall asleep, to how many minutes or hours you were in light, deep, or REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. You awake each morning to a ZQ score - a number that represents how solid your sleep actually was. The scores will vary from night to night and your age will also be reflective in the ZQ scores. Your ZQ will naturally decline as the you get older. After collecting a week or 2 of sleep data, take the SD memory card in the Zeo bedside unique and put it into a USB adapter so you can plug it into the myZeo Personal Coaching website which will give you a full analytical readout of your sleep and how to potentially increase your ZQ. The sleep journal that is kept with the Zeo software on your computer can really pinpoint areas of your lifestyle that are robbing you of sleep. They call them the 7 Sleep Stealers - stimulation or levels of activity close to bedtime, sleepiness, alcohol intake 3 hours or close to bedtime, caffeine intake after 3 PM, disruption at night from pets/kids/etc., bedroom environment, and falling asleep (were you worring about work, money, kids). There are other products on the market that claim to be "sleep monitors" and some get mixed reviews. Sleeptracker is a watch that you wear and it tracks your sleep patterns at night. The alarm on the watch is setup to wake you up at the optimal moment. The watches cost about $170 and owners aren't consistent on how useful the monitor is. The aXbo Sleep Phase Alarm Clock is another sleep monitor product that was developed with the help of sleep scientists, although some owners call it a "glorified alarm clock" and that is it. Other sleep monitor aids sell for roughly $200 to $300 but don't analyze data or sleep patterns effectively. The Zeo is definitely better than most at doing that and owners genuinely agree that it can help improve your sleep habits.
