Grill Cover Reviews:

Is it time to bring out the grill for those summer barbecues? When I first bought my Weber grill some 7 years ago I also purchased the cover to go with it. Since then, the weather conditions have taken their toll on the cover and it's time for a new one. I recently uncovered our grill from a rainy winter and spring here in Portland, Oregon and the grill was fine but the cover was diseased looking. The condensation from the water that got underneath wreaked havoc on the cover and I just couldn't stand looking at it anymore. The Weber Genesis gas grill is what I own and the cover was definitely heavy duty in my eyes, but I guess they can't last forever. The good news is that replacement grill covers are inexpensive and will help your backyard BBQ last another 7 years. Where should you look for them? How much are they? We answer all those questions below.

Choosing a Grill Cover - There really is not a lot to it since all covers are designed to fit a particular model or series of products from a manufacturer. For example, if you have a Weber Genesis gas grill you will need to buy the Weber 7553 Premium Cover which is designed to fit over Weber Genesis E and S series grills. Sound easy enough. The cover should be able to slip on fairly easily and be long enough on the sides to protect the barbecue and keep it from blowing off in the wind or rain. The best grill covers are made with durable vinyl - something that is heavy duty. The fabric should not be cracking in cold weather and it definitely needs to be water resistant. I had originally bought my Weber BBQ at Home Depot and that is where I got the cover too. Home Depot, Lowe's Sears, Walmart, and even Target are all good sources for the grill covers. If you are looking for an all-in-one shopping spot, consider Amazon.com with their giant inventory for all major brands like Weber, Char Broil, Char Griller, Bradley, Coleman, and more. We did find a company called Classic Accessories that makes grill covers that are more generic. Their Classic Veranda Cart BBQ Cover sells for $30 and comes in medium, large, X-large, and XXL protecting BBQ's that are up to 70 inches wide. The reviews for this particular product are excellent as consumers say they fit snugly and protect your investment in all weather conditions. Best Grill Cover:

Weber is considered the "king of barbecues" and their grill covers are just as reliable and durable. Whether you have a Weber charcoal grill, gas grill, or smoker, they make a protective cover for it. Many covers will fit several of the grill series, so be sure to read the product descriptions carefully to find what you are looking for. Excess ice, water, snow, leaves, etc. can cause damage to any grill, so it's always a good idea to cover the BBQ whenever it's not in use. I have a covered awning in my backyard, but I still cover my Genesis grill, especially during the winter months when it gets very little use. Check out top rated Weber grill covers here. They range in price from $10 to $50 and only the Weber 7451 and 7450 standard kettle covers got less than adequate owner feedback. All the others are rated at the "exceptional" level" which is why Weber remains the top name in this industry. They make quality grills and covers.

Part of the whole barbecue thing is getting together with friends and family and enjoying some time outdoors and eating good foods. This often happens during big games or sporting events. The NFL Grill Cover is the perfect gift for someone you know that is a die hard fan of a particular team. Perhaps pro football isn't your thing, but you are an alumni of a certain college. They also carry the NCAA Licensed Uniform Gas Grill Covers. For $30 you can represent your favorite team even when grilling. I would suggest taking care of the cover - that means washing it periodically to keep the dust, soot, and debris off of it.
