Reviews of the Best Cuisinart Coffer Makers - Brew Grinders:
Cuisinart is synonimous with quality and their coffee makers are best sellers. The most popular is the Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central ($150). The Cuisinart website describes the product as "The Cuisinart Brew Central Coffeemaker makes a bold statement with a brushed stainless steel finish and an elegant tech-industrial design. Programmable from start to finish, with a variable heater plate for temperature control, it's the ideal coffeemaker for today's demanding consumer. It even tells you when it's time to decalcify". Other Cuisinart top coffee makers include the DCC-450, DCC-1000, TTG-500 - Two to Go Coffeemaker, DGB-300, DGB-500, DGB-600BC, DTC-975N and the DCC-2000 Coffee on Demand 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker. One thing that came across in all reviews is the excellent quality and performance of cuisinart products. Keep reading for information on Brew Grinders.
Cuisinart carries a variety of coffee/brew grinders. The most basic is the DCG-20N coffee grinder for $30. The next step up is the DCG-12BC Grind Central Coffee Grinder ($50) which grinds up to 18 cups at once. The stainless steel finishing make this look very professional. The Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill (DBM-8) sells for $50 and is our personal favorite with brushed stainless steel it "consistently grinds coffee beans to preserve delicate natural oils, maximizing both flavor and aroma". Features a 4 to 18 cup dial, removable 8 oz bean hopper and a heavy duty motor. If you want top of the line you can get the combination Grind & Brew Thermal 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker for $225. It grinds your beans just before brewing. "A double-wall, insulated, brushed stainless steel, thermal carafe keeps up to 10 cups of coffee hot for hours. The elegant European design creates the perfect look for today's gourmet kitchen". You can find out more details at Cuisinart.com or shop online at SmallAppliances.com.
Cuisinart Food Processors:
Food processors were Cuisinarts first claim to fame. The line includes a restaurant size DLC-XP Food Processor ($1000) with a large 20 cup capacity, great performance, and durability beyond all others. The Pro Custom 11 Food Processor has an industrial quality motor and should last years as well at $280. The other products in this line are the Original Food Processor Brushed Stainless Series ($250), Pro Classic Food Processor ($200), Food Processor ($180), Little Pro Plus Compact Food Processor / Juicer ($120), Handy Prep 3-Cup Food Processor ($110), Mini-Prep Plus Processor ($60) and the PowerPrep Plus® 14-Cup Food Processor ($430). Our favorite was the Limited Edition Metal 14-Cup Food Processor ($499) with heavy duty die cast metal housing, 3/4 horsepower motor, 14 cup work bowl capacity, and stainless steel beaters. This Cuisinart is perfert for large parties and gatherings or ideal for smaller families.
Cuisinart Blenders - Ice Cream Makers:
Want to make a smoothie at home or create a new blended drink, then Cuisinart blenders are what you need. They carry about 6 current models - SmartPower 7-Speed Electronic Blender, SmartPower Duet Blender / Food Processor, SmartPower Premier Duet Blender/Food Processor, SmartPower Premier 600-Watt Blender, SmartPower Classic Blender 500-Watt, and the Smooth Operator. The reviews point towards the Smooth Operator ($120) as the clear winner with the capability to mix frozen drinks, smoothies, protein shakes, and puree soups. It offers 1500 watts of power and is easy to operate and clean. What's a party without some homemade ice cream. Cuisinarts new line of ice cream makers outdoes all the competition. The Supreme Commercial quality Ice Cream Maker ($399) gives you delicious ice cream, fruity sorbet, and frozen yogurt. It's probably a bit much for the average user, so we would suggest the more economical Pure Indulgence™ 2 Qt. Frozen Yogurt-Sorbet & Ice Cream Maker at $150. You still get a heavy duty motor but without the heavy volume that the ICE-50BC produces. There other ice cream makers include the Automatic Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker and the Cuisinart Classic Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker.
