Finding an Apartment in JacksonvilleFlorida is one of the best states to live in for weather with sunny skies and mild temps year round. Jacksonville is located along the north coast of Florida near the Atlantic Ocean. Highway I-10 and I-95 bisect the city and the 295 goes around the metro region. There is plenty of waterfront living if that is what you prefer since the city of Jacksonville rests on St Johns Bay. Downtown living is convenient yet a little expensive and many people choose to live along the ocean in Neptune Beach or Atlantic Beach. Even Ponte Vedra Beach is not too far from the downtown area and very nice. Jacksonville University is located on the east side of the city near Merrill Rd. and housing can sometimes be tight for students with few availabilities come fall. Apartment rents are somewhat reasonable and rental houses or condos are often not much more. We highly recommend that you go online to sites like Apartments.com or Rent.com to look at what is available in areas you are interested in. Then call the property/apartment manager to get more information like deposit, square footage, parking, floor plans, pools, etc. Some of this information is available on websites, but you are better off hearing it from the manager. Then drive by the complex to get a feel for the neighborhood and surrounding area.
