Finding an Apartment in Las Vegas

Las Vegas has been the fastest growing city in the United States for years and recent run ups in real estate prices have left the city at a boiling point with too much unsold inventory on the market and the rental market flourishing. Finding a rental apartment is not that hard given the massive developments of new communities in the Las Vegas and Henderson regions. You can do the general search online through sites like Rent.com and Apartments.com to find neighborhoods and availability where you want to live. We always suggest driving around the potential zones where you want to rent a place and check out the area - is there sufficient parking, is the area clean, are there stores nearby, etc. Also, have a list with basic questions in front of you when you do call the property or apartment manager about an opening. Ask about the status of pets, is there a pool, floor plans, parking situation, fitness centers, etc. Sometimes going directly to the actually website of the apartment complex is your best bet to see photos and read details about the different units they offer. With 1000's of jobs at the casinos, you will probaby be heading to work in that direction. I-15 runs through the city and separate the neighborhoods from the "Strip", airport and university. Summerlin and Spanish Trails are two excellent areas to consider. One major issue with families is that they don't want to raise their children right near the casinos and massive billboards advertising them. My brother has lived in Vegas for years and he is single so his search for an apartment was different than that of a family, but he too noticed signs for strip clubs, casinos, etc. and says he avoided those areas the most.

The cost of living is moderate in the Las Vegas Metro area, and 1 BR apartments will normally set you back $700 or more per month. Below are listings for some Las Vegas Apartment Rentals.
