Finding an Apartment in RenoReno is located on the eastern side of the Sierra mountains right along I-80 highway. Sparks is a huge community just to the east of Reno which has grown immensely over the last decade. Finding apartments can be a little daunting with so many areas to look at and so many complexes to consider. You can go online to apartment finder sites like Rent.com or Apartments.com and see what is available in certain areas. Things like floor plans, parking options, pets, etc. are usually listed on these sites but the best solution is to talk with the property or apartment manager or see if they have a website for their complex. We also suggest that you drive in and around the area you are considering to see how the neighborhood looks, what is parking like, are stores conveniently located. Commuting is still reasonable in the Reno area and many people come from the Incline Village side of the Sierras to come to work in Reno. Rents are cheap compared to the Lake Tahoe side of the hill which makes Reno a desirable location for young families looking for affordability. The cost of living is not bad and the weather is fairly decent year round with quick access to world class skiing at Squaw Valley, Incline, and Northstar. Expect to find plenty of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with 3 bedrooom units a touch rarer. If you are planning on staying in Reno for more than a few years, consider buying a condo or small house instead of paying rent as an alternative.
