Myspace.com Domain / Myspace Guide:

Myspace.com has over 100 million members, was sold for over $300 million dollars, and it is still 100 % free to use. I have been on myspace for the last 18 months and I have had a lot of fun with it. If you are a parent, father, mother, even married with kids, you still might have a lot of fun creating a myspace.com page. It is easy to sign up on myspace (it takes about 15 minutes to enter information and upload a few photos) and most importantly it's free. If you become a member then you can email friends (or strangers) and start to build a "network - friends list". A few of my friends have over 5000 myspace friends that they have met over the years, although to me that seems a bit ridiculous. I have about 50 friends in my profile and I usually talk to them online once a week with email or blogs. Myspace.com has gotten a lot of bad press recently due to the fact that adults have been using the website to meet children. If you are a mom or dad and your kids have an account on myspace.com you would be wise to check out their page once in a while. Some parents might feel bad about checking up on their kids, but to me the other option is to do nothing and potentially let your child get hurt. Myspace is a great website in my opinion and it has helped a lot of musicians, small businesses, and other creative people like writers and film makers get their name out there. If you have not checked out myspace then do yourself a favor and go to their website.

Where to Find Myspace.com Bands and Music?:

Do you like Nickelback, U2, My Chemical Romance, or Fall Out Boy. Well those bands are some of the most popular on myspace.com as they are searched for all day long by myspace.com members. My friends band called "The Radio Saints" is a band out of Huntington Beach, CA that uses myspace to help build their career. They just recorded a new album and are starting to promote their songs (files, mp3s) on myspace.com in hopes of getting a record deal. I think their band page now has over 2000 friends that they contact on a weekly basis to keep them up to date on what the band is doing (touring, recording, etc.) If you are in a band then you definitely need to create a myspace.com page to help promote your band online. You can customize the lay out for your myspace page by adding music, photos archive, and choosing your color scheme. Once you get your band a webpage on myspace you will be able to promote your band across the whole world immediately. Myspace is great for musicians because it gives you the ability to build a fanbase while you share images, music, downloads, mp3s, and news with fellow music fans. All bands dream about touring and being famous, but the reality is that 1 in a million bands will actually make money from playing music and end up like the Beatles.

Blog on Myspace.com:

I joined myspace.com in 2006 (yeah I was a little late to join my friends), but I have sure enjoyed their website since I signed up. Everybody has heard of the term "blog or blogging" and now you can blog on myspace.com. Basically when you blog you are keeping some sort of an online diary (journal) on some topic that interests you. I usually write a blog once a week and talk about dating, music, my friends band, or just life in general. I have about 50 friends online who read my blogs on myspace and they always email me telling me how much they enjoy reading my blogs every week. If you want to post a blog on myspace it's relatively easy and you can even post photos or pictures if you want to. I noticed a few times my blog contained some comments on Metallica(or some big band like Green Day) and other myspace members would find my page as they searched for their favorite bands. Blogging can be a lot of fun, but most importantly I enjoy writing and the creative process that goes with it. Check out myspace.com to sign up or to learn about their blog.

Myspace.com Friend / Dating / Networking?:

If you do have a myspace account the odds are that you have met someone online or you have considered a blind date from myspace.com. I think that myspace is a great way to meet people either for work (networking, promoting, etc.) or just for fun (dating, partying, whatever). One piece of advice (and it should be obvious) is to avoid contact with kids who are on myspace, you can review a profile before you decide to contact that member (this way you make sure they are 18 years old). The best thing about myspace is that it's totally free and you can use it 24 hours a day. I never really met any long term friends on the website, but I did meet a lot of cool people in my local area which is Las Vegas. Last time I checked there were over 100 million members on myspace.com and it continues to grow everyday. If you want to try dating on myspace then check out the classified section of the website for your city. You can either post an advertisement in the dating (singles) section or you can search the singles ads and reply to those that interest you. If you really want to meet that special someone I would recommend you try posting an ad because that way you are taking the first step. Myspace is also a great resource for networking and socializing. If you want to join a sports league (football, basketball), or maybe you want to start a band, then myspace is an excellent website to meet people with similar interests.

Search Myspace.com / Login Myspace:

Once you create an account on myspace.com you will be able to login to your profile at anytime (and from any computer). Starting a myspace.com account is just like creating a yahoo email, you need to provide them with some basic info (name, email address, interests, etc.) and a user name and password. Once you have created an account and are an active member on myspace you can literally login to your account in about 10 seconds. Their login format just asks you for your email address (that you signed up under) and your password (which you will create when you sign up). Once you are a member of myspace you can then search their domain for everything from dates to jobs. I have even received a few emails from people that I haven't spoken to in years as I guess they just searched for my name on myspace.com. If you are looking for an old flame, or maybe you want to find an old high school classmate then searching myspace.com could be your answer.
