Guide To Downloading Piano Sheet Music Online:

Are you a musician or at least an aspiring artist? I have played a few instuments over the years (guitar, bass, vocals, piano, drums) and I learned early on how important it was to be able to read music - most musicians can't read or write easy sheet music that is meant for beginners. Studio musicians (people hired for recording purposes) are only hired if they can read music and have a knack for playing songs (part, riffs) in one take due to the high cost of studio time. Sheet music is defined as: a hand written or printed form of musical notation. It is most often used among classical musicians while playing live gigs, studio musicians while recording, and beginners who are trying to learn how to play. The ability to sight read is a dying art among musicians and it shows in the world today as artists are caught lip syncing on live television. There are plenty of websites that offer free sheet music for you to download, but we also reviewed websites that sell sheet music in case you want to be an entire albums tabulature. If you are thinking about being a professional musician of any sort (recording, touring, engineer) then you should learn how to read music. Almost every musician I have ever met regrets not learning to read music, or at least not continuing on with their musical theory education after their teenage years. Hopefully our reviews below will help point you in the right direction as you search for that special piece of sheet music.

Where To Find Free Piano Sheet Music?:

Do you play piano? If you own a piano, keyboard, or organ, then I'm sure you could appreciate some new sheet music. Piano is a fun, versatile, and challenging instrument to learn how to play. The piano is the most looked up instrument online among people who want to find printable sheet music. Unless you happen to be musically gifted you would be wise to take piano lessons for at least 12 months before you consider yourself a musician. Almost all piano teachers start their students out with sheet music of some sort, even if it's just "Mary Had A Little Lamb". We reveiwed many websites that offer piano sheet music, but the one we liked the most was pianofiles.com. Their website does require that visitors sign up in order to access their database of 1 million pieces of sheet music, but the sign up is easy and free. The idea behind the website is that you can basically trade sheet music with other users worldwide. The exchange program works best if you have some piano sheet music that you can trade because most of the users are offering something in return which is great since it's free for everyone. You will find everything from Elton John and Heart to Augustana and Motley Crue available to for trade. I think this website is cool because you can literally request any piece of music that has ever been recorded and within hours you will probably have a few people who have emailed you back wanting to trade sheet music. Check it out for yourself and if you want to buy sheet music books or dvds then check out reviews below.

Download Guitar Sheet Music Online:

Would you like to find free guitar sheet music for your favorite band? If you like Justin Timberlake, Evanesence, Cold Play, The Doors, or Kelly Clarkson then stop by 8notes.com. There are hundreds (if not 1000's) of websites that offer sheet music, but overall I think 8notes really has the best site on the internet. They provide mostly short pieces of music written out (riffs and measures) and that should be sufficient as you learn how to read music in all styles. Most young guitar players never think about reading music, heck I admit as a child all I wanted to do was play power chords and riffs by bands like ACDC. If you can be patient while you are learing guitar and put in the extra work to learn how to read music you will be much better off down the road. Many famous guitar players have claimed that they can't read or write music and that they just play by ear (or feel as they say), but think how good they would be if they could also read music of any genre (country, folk, classical, rock, metal, etc.). Their website lets you view your favorite songs in tabulature with nice size photos or for some music they also offer pdf files. If you need other aides like a guitar tuner, metronome, or chord charts then I recommend checking out their website because they offer many helpful tools. For serious guitar players they offer original scores, guitar mp3s, guitar midi files, and transcriptions for guitar that have been uploaded by 8notes members - definitely not something for a beginning player to worry about.

Find Theme Sheet Music For Piano :

Do you need to find some Christmas Sheet Music? Maybe you need to print some Christian Sheet Music for a special event? Holidays and religious events are special times for all of us and hearing music can definitely make any day more enjoyable. We all know Christmas songs like "Jingle Bells" and "Silent Night", but there is nothing better than hearing these classic songs played on a live piano. We found a website at 8notes.com/christmas that offers all the Christmas classics (they even have them for organ sheet music). Their website also offers classical sheet music (for instuments like guitar, piano, flute, cell, etc.) by most of the big name composers like Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart. If you want to check out some Christian Sheet Music then go to musicnotes.com/christian/ where you will also find gospel, contemporary, worship, and Easter Sheet Music available.

Flute Sheet Music / Violin, Tuba, Etc.:

Once again we found 8notes.com to be the best website for obtaining quality sheet music for the wind instruments. They have sheet music for almost all instruments including: flute, violin, tuba, cello, clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, percussion, recorder, oboe, and wind groups. If you play the flute or violin then you are well aware of how important it is to have good learning materials available to you because these instruments are not easy to master. Don't be frustrated at first if you can't read violin sheet music, for some people it takes hundreds of practice hours before they dare try reading music without a teacher present. As we mentioned above their website is fast and easy to use (simple navigation), but they also offer lessons on things like breath control, ear training, and music theory. If you need violin sheet music, tuba sheet music, or even clarinet sheet music then check out their site where you can search through 1000's of music pieces from the comfort of your home computer.

Buy Sheet Music & Sheet Music Software.:

Are you looking for sheet music software? Maybe you need printable sheet music? Nowadays when musicians want to learn a song they just go online and within minutes they will find many websites that provide Digital Sheet Music (since 1998 copyrighted sheet music has been made available by publishers for purchase online). Although it's not that common (because most web surfers search for free sheet music) there are still people who want to buy sheet music online and we found the best website for this to be sheetmusicplus.com. They have over 411,000 songs which include music from bands like The Fray, Goo Goo Dolls, Beatles, and even movie soundtracks. If you are looking for country sheet music, latin, rock, pop, or even broadway musicals, this website has some great deals along with excellent customer reviews. Their top seller at the moment is The Frays' "How To Save A Life" which they sell for $16.95 (pretty average price for a current hit album). They also have specials on bands like Green Day, James Blunt, and Josh Groban from $3.95 and up. Finding the right sheet music software can really help to improve your playing, not to mention it will make playing a lot more fun as you get better. Notation.com is a great website for singers, choirs, songwriters, and even beginning musicians who want to learn how to read music. The website lets you create simple song arrangements and musical exercises in clear, large font that makes it possible for anybody to follow. You can download their software for $49.95 or buy it on dvd for $59.00. You can also find blank sheet music online there that is great for practicing the art of writing out music on paper - a very hard skill to learn.
