He found that the best vibrating conditions for a guitar were from unbent, unstressed, carved wood and these characteristics would lead to the "Gibson Mandolin - Guitar Co., Ltd" in 1902. 1937 proved to be a big year for the Gibson catalogue as they released the ES 150 model which blended the technology of magnetic pick ups with an instrument that was to be amplified. Over the years Gibson has become famous in the world of guitars for models like the Flying V, Explorer, Les Paul (Standard, Studio, Epiphone), Acoustic, and the ES and SG. There are hundreds of guitars for sale on Ebay, but we think the best deal is the Gibson Studio Electric Guitar which will cost about $500 (depending on what color and types of gadgets you want like pickups and strings on the guitar). Buying a used Gibson guitar is a good idea for a beginner or if you are buying the guitar for a child because the new guitars are pretty costly and we know how kids can be. Gibson has a great reputation built on a hundred years of a quality product, so don't be worried about buying a used Gibson to learn and rock out on.
