Guitar Tablature Guide and Reviews:

Do you need to find guitar tablature? Maybe you just want to print some tab from your favorite bands like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. Most guitar players dream about playing sold out concerts in some far away place, but first you must practice your chords, scales, and blues licks. Practice will definitely make you a better electric guitar player and most of the guitar heroes in the world have used guitar tablature at some point to get better (by reading music books and tablature you increase your skills greatly). Tablature is easy to find on the internet and a lot of the websites online offer free guitar tablature for viewing. I have played guitar for a number of years and my favorite style of music is rock or metal, although I have gotten into other styles like jazz, classical, and acoustic music. Using guitar tab to practice and improve your playing ability is a good decision and will help you in your music career. After you buy a guitar and an amp then get online and start searching for your favorite bands and their sheet music - guitar tablature. Tablature is just music written on paper from right to left. At first reading tab is strange, but after a little practice and help (maybe find a friend or teacher who knows how to read tablature) you will start to feel comfortable reading tab.

Free Guitar Tablature:

Do you want to find free guitar tablatureonline? Do you love Ac-Dc, Rolling Stones, Guns and Roses, Pearl Jam, John Mayer, Creed? If you do then you need to check out some of the online websites that offer free guitar tablature. Some music tab websites specialize in certain genres of music, or styles of music. We reviewed many websites for guitar tablature online that offered free content. Some people like music with a purpose (like religious, christmas, gospel, heaven, holiday stuff) so we also made sure the website included those areas. Check out ultimate-guitar.com where you can find reviews, articles, contest, lessons, forums, and of course guitar tablature. Their site has over 30,000 songs of tablature and almost every band in the world is covered. Most people just use tablature for fun and learning new songs to cover in a band or whatever, but tablature can also be a great tool for learning.

Bass Guitar Tablature:

The bass guitar is another popular instrument (basically an electric guitar with only 4 low end strings) and there are many bass tablature sites online. We found the best bass guitar tablature site at basstabarchive.com. The website offers tablature, tablature books, a forum, software, links, and good music. They have tab for old bands, new bands, classic bands, and every other popular style of music. You can find bands like U2, Pink Floyd, Green Day, Fuel, Bush, Metallica, Nirvana, Jack Johnson and more. Bass guitar is a little easier to play than a standard 6 string electric guitar and sometimes that fools people to believe that the bass is an easy instrument to play. The bass guitar takes practice (a lot of practice), just like any instrument and you only get what you put into it.

How to Use Guitar Tab:

Once you find a good website and print your new guitar tab sheets you are going to need a plan (some consistent way to practice or take lessons). The best advice is to start with easy music (not some complex Metallica song) that you have heard a million times so you will be familiar with the tempo and feel of the song. Christmas songs or jingles are great for beginning musicians who want to learn how to read guitar tab. Instead of using symbols like in standard musical notation, tablature uses ordinary ASCII characters and numbers, making it ideal for the internet where anybody with a computer can link up, copy a TAB file, and read it.

Guitar Tablature Software:

Do you want to find software that is meant for guitar tablature? We looked at a lot of websites online that offer software for guitar players and recommend you check out tabledit.com. Their website offers a program for creating, editing, printing and listening to tablature - sheet music (standard notation) for guitar and other fretted instruments, including mandolin and bass. The software is Tabledit and can suport English, Spanish, French and can open/import ASCII, MIDI, ABC, MusicXML, Bucket O' Tab, TabRite, and Wayne Cripps files. The program has great features like effects (hammer-on, pull-off, chokes, bends, slide, vibrato, roll, grace notes, muted notes), speed trainer, quickview, and a separate printout of chord diagrams. They also offer a free download of the program which we found to be helpful and easy to use.
