Anaheim Angels - History - Logo - Rosters - Players:
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used to be just the Anaheim Angels until 2005. The Anaheim Angels didn't have much success in MLB until the last few years, so it seems strange to change the name of a successful ballclub all of a sudden. The Angels won the 2002 World Series and made it to the ALCS in 2005. The franchise has had great players in the past like Nolan Ryan, Reggie Jackson, Rod Carew, Mike Witt, Wally Joyner, Jim Edmonds, Chuck Finley, Garret Anderson, and Vladimir Guerrero. The current team is strong in the outfield (Anderson, Guerrero, Erstad), but the pitching is suspect. Perhaps the new name for the team means a new year and continued playoff results as they roll into the 2006 season and beyond. I know the city of Anaheim does not like taking a back seat to Los Angeles when it comes to the name. You can find out more information on the Anaheim Angels logo, roster moves and team history at AnaheimAngels.com.
Where can I get Anaheim Angels Pictures, Ringtones, and Wallpaper for my cell phone/computer?:
Major league baseball has started offering what all fans want, downloads from your favorite team for your cellular phone. It's called Baseball to Go and you can get mobile alerts on games, ringtones, wallpaper, video highlights and more. Personalize your wireless phone with Anaheim Angels players, logos, and sounds. If you want more digital downloads for your computer, then try the Multimedia section of the site for Gameday Audio, Videos, Photo Galleries, and the MLB.com all access pass.
What is MLB.TV?:
"For only $14.95 a month or $79.95 a season, you can watch virtually every out-of-market game in high quality with your broadband connection. Major League Baseball pioneered this technology for making its full schedule of games available live over the Internet, and it has become a way of life for fans who are watching their favorite team from home, the office, at college or in a hotel room on a business or vacation trip."
Where can I get Anaheim Angels tickets, schedules, jerseys and merchandise/apparel?:
Want Angels apparel? Season Tickets? The best place to start is at the Anaheim Angels (or should I say Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) homepage listed above. They offer great season ticket packages, individual game tickets, and group tickets. Their online shop includes wonderful gift ideas for jerseys, jackets, hats, calendars, baseball cards, bumper stickers, and other collectible items. Perhaps with the current name change to the team, the old Anaheim Angels memorabilia will become more valuable. We really liked the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Authentic Collection Elevation Gamer Jacket on the site which sells for $59.99.
Anaheim Angels Fan sites?:
We found an incredible Angels fan site with more than you could ever want at Angelswin.com. There are stats, schedules, prospects, standings, message boards, links, and more. They run current game boxscores and upcoming pitching opponents versus batters (great stats). You can find the latest news articles on the team from rumors to injuries. The message boards are loaded with other Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fans who want to talk baseball, baseball, and more baseball. In the links section you will find other sites for tickets, blogs, and forums on the Angels. The only thing missing from this site is a good multimedia section on Angels wallpaper, screensavers, or pictures.
