Atlanta Braves - History - Logo - Rosters - Players:
The Atlanta Braves has been a great franchise from 1990-Current. Before that they were a lackluster team with no direction. Even with all the playoff appearances and World Series appearances (5 in the 1990's), they were only able to win 1 World Series title in that incredible run. With stellar pitching from Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, and timely hitting from Fred McGriff, David Justice, and Chipper Jones the Braves dominated the regular season in baseball for over a decade but failed to capitalize once the playoffs started. Past all-stars on the Braves include such greats at Dale Murhpy, Rafael Ramirez, Phil Niekro, Henry Aaron and Eddie Mathews. Hammerin' Hank Aaron is the all-time major league leader in home runs and RBIs. The franchise moved from Milwaukee and started playing in Atlanta in 1966. The current lineup includes Andruw Jones, Brian Jordan, Edgar Renteria, Tim Hudson and Mike Hampton. I'm sure the Braves will return to the top of the league someday soon, but the lost opportunities must haunt this franchise. Check out all the latest at the official site of the team at AtlantaBraves.com.
Where can I get Atlanta Braves Pictures, Ringtones, and Wallpaper for my cell phone/computer?:
Major league baseball has started offering what all fans want, downloads from your favorite team for your cellular phone. It's called Baseball to Go and you can get mobile alerts on games, ringtones, wallpaper, video highlights and more. Personalize your wireless phone with Atlanta Braves players, logos, and sounds. If you want more digital downloads for your computer, then try the Multimedia section of the site for Gameday Audio, Videos, Photo Galleries, and the MLB.com all access pass.
What is MLB.TV?:
"For only $14.95 a month or $79.95 a season, you can watch virtually every out-of-market game in high quality with your broadband connection. Major League Baseball pioneered this technology for making its full schedule of games available live over the Internet, and it has become a way of life for fans who are watching their favorite team from home, the office, at college or in a hotel room on a business or vacation trip."
Where can I get Atlanta Braves tickets, schedules, jerseys and merchandise/apparel?:
Years ago you couldn't get tickets to a Braves game without knowing someone in Atlanta. Those years have since passed and you can acquire season tickets, individual game tickets, or group packages fairly easily. From the heyday though, there are some great collectible items on the Braves site (see the URL mentioned above). If you missed buying Atlanta Braves merchandise in the 1990's then go to the teams website and shop for autographed art, balls, bats, bobbleheads, figurines, coins, patches, pins, photos, plaques, wall hangings and toys. The best item I saw was the Mounted Memories Atlanta Braves 1995 World Champions Plaque which sells for $64.99. It features a team photo along with playoff record and the names on the roster for that season. All apparel sold on their site comes with the Braves logo. If you want more memorabilia of the classic Braves players not with the team anymore, then try EBay.com, the #1 auction site on the web.
Atlanta Braves Fan sites?:
Atlanta is a great city and they truly love their teams. The Atlanta Braves have lots of online websites dedicated to the teams history and current status. You can find lots of great information at BravesBeat.com or try a player fan site for Greg Maddux at Tireball.com. For a great online magazine, try ChopTalkOnline.com. It's the official Atlanta Braves monthly Magazine with news, player photos, stories, ticket info, and helpful hints on hitting, pitching, etc.
