On October 26, 1993, the Carolina Panthers were selected to be the 29 NFL franchise (the first since 1976). Carolina didn't actually get a team developed until a few years later. They successfully made it to the SuperBowl in 2004 against the New England Patriots and lost, but the team has been a playoff contender for the last few years and appears headed to the playoffs again in 2009-2010. With Julius Peppers leading the defense and Jake Delhomme guiding the offense with Steve Smith, DeAngelo Williams, and Jonathan Stewart. The TopCats, the Carolina Panthers Cheerleaders, help cheer the Panthers to victory and entertain fans at every home game in Bank of America Stadium. The official Panthers website has some great wallpaper size photos of the whole cheerleading squad from 1996-2009. There is a complete roster of the women on the squad with bios and photos of each girl. The TopCats don't have a calendar out yet, but rumor has it there will be one perhaps in 2010.
