Charlotte Bobcats Players / Franchise/ History / Logo:
Are you a Bobcats fan? If you are then we hope our review of their team, dancers, merchandise and basic information will help you out.
The Bobcats play in the Southeast Division and joined the NBA in 2004, you might remember 2 years earlier that the city of Charlotte had the Hornets (before they moved to New Orleans). The Bobcats play their home games in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena (a new awesome place with no bad seats). In June of 2006 Michael Jordan (yes from the Chicago Bulls) became the 2nd largest shareholder in the Bobcats (rapper Nelly also owns a small share). Emeka Okafor was drafted by Charlotte in 2004 and he won rookie of the year along with being a great team leader. Their first season in the league was not much to brag about as they only won 18 games and never played that great - although they did have a few good games. In 2005 Charlotte drafted Sean May and Raymond Felton from UNC (The University of North Carolina) which helped the franchise to win 26 games in 2005-2006. This year the Bobcats are expected to win about 30 games during the 2007 season, lets wait and see how it works out for them. The Bobcats drafted Adam Morrison #35 from Gonzaga and it looks like he will win rookie of the year for 2006-2007. Morrison is a great shooting big man and should help the Bobcats for years to come. The Charlotte Bobcats' alternate logo features an orange bobcat head on a blue and silver basketball. For more Bobcats info and history check out their official site at nba.com/bobcats.
Charlotte Bobcats Dancers - Cheerleaders:
Charlotte is a beautiful city and when you attend a Bobcats home game you will find their cheerleaders (dancers) to look the same - drop dead gorgeous. The Bobcats dancers are professional and many of them are career women and mothers in their private time. This year the Bobcats dance team has 21 girls, but that # came to be only after numerous tryouts and a lot of women being cut from the team. For more info and pictures on the girls check out their website online at nba.com/bobcats/danceteam_0506.html where you can also finds links to their calendar specials. Some of the popular girls on this years team is Ana, Amanda, Caroline, Emily, Kara and Kelli just to name a few. Go check out a home game and see for yourself.
Charlotte Bobcats Radio / Fan sites / Wallpapers:
Since the Bobcats have only been a professional team since 2004 they are not the most popular team in the NBA yet. Surprisingly though there are a lot of fan sites online dedicated to the Bobcats and we have listed our favorite one. If you enjoy talking with fellow Charlotte fans about your team then check out bobcatsreport.com where you can find stats, trade rumors, wallpapers, screensavers, player news, team charity events and even a forum (for all you fantasy geeks and bloggers out there). If you want to hear the game on the radio tune into 106.1 WNMX or "Mix" for all their home games.
