Milwaukee Brewers - History - Logo - Rosters - Players:
The Milwaukee Brewers started playing in 1970 and have had many a disappointing season for the fans in Milwaukee Wisconsin. They have made the playoffs only twice in 1981-82. Led by players like Robin Yount (2 time league MVP) they were able to compete for a while but have not been in the playoffs for over 20 years now. Past players have included Cecil Cooper, Ben Oglivie, Robin Yount, Gorman Thomas, Rollie Fingers, Paul Molitor, Richie Sexson and Greg Vaughn. Milwaukee was an American League but they were moved over to the National League Central Division with the Cardinals and Astros so their troubles have continued. 2006 could be a rebound year but their chances of playoff success are slim. The active roster has Jeff Cirillo, Dave Bush, and a few others, but lacks star players. You can follow the season online at Brewers.com with standings, schedules, stats, injury reports, and news/rumors. All home games are played at Miller Park.
Milwaukee Brewers Pictures - Ringtones - Wallpaper for my cell phone/computer?:
Major league baseball has started offering what all fans want, downloads from your favorite team for your cellular phone. It's called Baseball to Go and you can get mobile alerts on games, ringtones, wallpaper, video highlights and more. Personalize your wireless phone with Milwaukee Brewers players, logos, and sounds. If you want more digital downloads for your computer, then try the Multimedia section of the site for Gameday Audio, Videos, Photo Galleries, and the MLB.com all access pass. If you want Milwaukee Brewers wallpaper images, go to the main site and click on "fan" and get the wallpapers with the primary logo, secondary logo, jersey lettering, scripted brewers, and classic logo. Unfortunately there are no desktop wallpapers of players.
What is MLB.TV?:
"For only $14.95 a month or $79.95 a season, you can watch virtually every out-of-market game in high quality with your broadband connection. Major League Baseball pioneered this technology for making its full schedule of games available live over the Internet, and it has become a way of life for fans who are watching their favorite team from home, the office, at college or in a hotel room on a business or vacation trip."
After all the losing seasons, the fans have dwindled but the product selection online has only grown. The most popular items on the Brewers shopping site are the Milwaukee Brewers Authentic 2006 Alternate "Retro Sundays" Jersey ($159.99), Milwaukee Brewers Customized Authentic Road Jersey, Photo File Milwaukee Brewers Robin Yount Framed Photo, Majestic Athletic Milwaukee Brewers Property Of T-Shirt, Milwaukee Brewers Authentic 2006 Alternate "Retro Sundays" Fitted Cap, Ertl Collectibles Milwaukee Brewers 2006 Tractor Trailer, and the Antigua Milwaukee Brewers Women's Unlimited T-Shirt. Tickets are easily available to all home games online or through your local Ticketmaster agency. From what I could read, the city of Milwaukee is feed up with the Brewers and wants management to pick up some marquee players to attract crowds back out to Miller Park. I still find the jerseys from the early 1980's to have a great look and my Robin Yount jersey continues to increase in value as an authentic collectible.
Milwaukee Brewers Fan sites?:
Amazingly enough there are still fans that are dedicated to the team and update fan sites on a regular basis. The best site we found was at Brewerfan.net with daily columns, minor league reports, player bios, fan forums, and much more. At least there is still 1 fan that appreciates the team and wants to give all of us something to view online. Keep up the good work, the site is great.
