Minnesota Twins - History - Logo - Rosters - Players:
The Minnesota Twins inagural season in major league baseball was 1961. They soon went to the World Series and promptly lost to the LA Dodgers in 1965. Harmon Killebrew carried the Twins in the late 60's and early 70's to a few more playoff series but no more World Series appearances. Kirby Puckett and Kent Hrbek took the twins to the World Series titles in 1987 and 1991. The rest of the 1990's was a sad story of disappointments but the last few years have seen a better team on the field that has lost to the World Champion New York Yankees in the playoffs a few times. The current roster is loaded with talent like Luis Castillo, Rondell White, Brad Radke, Francisco Liriano, and Juan Rincon. Perhaps another World Series is not too far off for the team that made the Metrodome famous. The city is working on getting a new ballpark for the Twins, one that is outside and updated. You can follow the team and their weekly happenings at MinnesotaTwins.com.
