With players like Fran Tarkenton in the 1970's, Tommy Kramer and Ahmad Rashad in the 1980's, Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss of the 1990's and early 2000's, the Vikings have been Superbowl contenders for years having the reputation for being pushovers in the Big Game during the 1970's. Their infamous coach was Bud Grant and his coaching style was perfect for all those blustery outdoors games in December and January during the 70's. Nowadays the Minnesota vikings play all their home games indoors in a plush Metrodome Stadium that has a constant air temperature and no snow. The official site has a great fan zone where you can join the fan club and get news and reports on the team during the season. The colors of the team are important as well since they were the dawned the nickname of "Purple People Eaters" with their stingy defense over the years. This years roster includes stars like Adrian Peterson (best rusher in the NFL), Jared Allen, and Tavarus Jackson. Brett Favre has signed on for the year and may help the Vikings get back to the playoffs.

This site is amazing with fan forums, galleries, fantasy football leagues, columns on players and coaches, news & stats with roster moves, injury reports, and team stats. There is a complete download section with wallpaper photos, screen savers, skins and more. The multimedia area offers audio, live game audio, and videos and film of highlights. Giving the extensive reach the site has and the # of fans that are members, I have to say this is the only fan site that was better than the official team site of any NFL team we have reviewed. Job well done.
