New York Mets - History - Logo - Rosters - Players:
The New York Mets have done ok as a franchise considering they have to compete with the crosstown rivals in the New York Yankees. The Mets are the like 2nd tier team in New York, but that doesn't limit their talent or ability to win. They have won World Series in both 1969 and 1986 and narrowly lost the Yankees in the 2001 World Series. The New York Mets have had great players like Mike Piazza, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver and Darryl Strawberry, while their current lineup includes Tom Glavine, Pedro Martinez, Carlos Delgado, Kazuo Matsui, and Carlos Beltran. The team is off to a great start and destined to show the city of New York they are better than the Yankees. With the talent, especially at the pitching spot, the New York Mets should be contenders for the World Series in 2006 or perhaps 2007. At last the fans have something to cheer about again at Shea Stadium. Check out all the stats on players and team information at Mets.com.

It's called Baseball to Go and you can get mobile alerts on games, ringtones, wallpaper, video highlights and more. Personalize your wireless phone with Mets players, logos, and sounds. If you want more digital downloads for your computer, then try the Multimedia section of the site for Gameday Audio, Videos, Photo Galleries, and the MLB.com all access pass.
Where can I get New York Mets tickets, schedules, jerseys and merchandise/apparel?:
Tickets used to be easier to get to Mets games, but as they are climbing the rankings, season tickets and individual tickets are harder to get. They currently offer special 6 pack game offers, season tickets and ticket plans and group tickets at reasonable prices. Want to buy memorabilia and Mets apparel, just go to Mets.com and click on the shopping link to get access to team merchandise like jackets, jerseys, hats, blankets, bumper stickers, calendars and much more. My personal favorites are the autographed team items. The fan forum is a great place to exchange Mets stories and discuss players. All this is accessible from the official site listed above.
