Most Popular Ski Resorts and Ski Vacation Destinations
One nice thing about skiing is that it is a sport that the whole family can enjoy, from 5 year old kids to 85 year old grandparents (no double black diamond runs please!). One problem with skiing is the expense - it costs a lot of money to pay for lift tickets, ski lodging, equipment purchase or rental, and transportation. The hassles involved with dragging poles, boots, and skis across the country often make it a good idea to turn plans of a ski weekend into a week long stay at a ski resort instead. Wherever you find decent winter snow, you find ski resorts catering to families and travelers. Some of the most popular ski resorts are in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, California/Nevada, Vermont, and British Columbia, Canada. These include Heavenly Ski Resort, Squaw Valley Ski Resort, Whistler Blackcomb, Heavenly Valley, Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Keystone Ski Resort, Copper Mountain, Telluride, Killington, and Jackson Hole. Keep in mind when planning your ski vacation that most ski resorts offer a variety of discount package deals - from buy 3 nights, get a night free, to free lift tickets for children, to reduced rate lodging/lift combo packages. Below we have some reviews and pictures of these resorts - come along and get ready to plan that great ski vacation you have been waiting for!
