Tennessee Titans - History - Players:The Houston Oilers played their first game in 1960 and had some success through the years in Houston until 1998. In 1999 the team moved to Tennesse and became the Titans. The team had instant success in Tennessee and actually played for the SuperBowl title in January of 2000 against the powerful St Louis Rams barely missing a victory when Kevin Dyson was stopped at the 1 yard line as the game concluded. With Steve McNair at quarterback, the Titans always seemed poised to make a comeback or win a game outright, but as injuries slowed McNair, the team lost its edge. McNair left and the team drafted Vince Young and LenDale White. Young has had some success, but the latest hero in town is Kerry Collins who is leading the team in 2009-10.
