"My kids figured this thing out before me, the remote is much better than the normal TV or Cable ones. We have been Tivo customers for almost 18 months now, and I can't imagine TV without it. I am tempted to get another Tivo box for the master bedroom, but I don't want to be that addicted to TV. All in all, I love my Tivo, as does my family, and it makes our TV viewing time much more rewarding. I think we watched more TV initially when we got it, but now that we stick mainly with our favorite shows, I think we actually watch less and watch it faster with channel skipping."

"I paid for the upfront buyout option with no monthly fees - of course that only lasts as long as this Tivo box lasts, I don't know about Tivo updates or upgrades.. We had to run a phone line in behind the TV in the den so it could dial in for network programming schedules - kind of a pain, but worth it. Wish there was some cool wireless internet lookup feature or download to avoid the monthly bill and dial-ins. Overall, Tivo makes TV viewing much easier. My wife likes it too, catching up on shows she misses while at work (ugghh, Dr. Phil!)."

"Tivo is a great little machine. My friends had raved about how cool it was, and I finally got around to buying one about 4 months ago, and I am hooked on it. Cable TV is great with so much on and so little time to watch, but Tivo makes cable easier by letting you search out shows whenever they are on, and watching them on your own schedule, which is awesome. I find watching sports after the fact kind of a bummer, but you can breeze through a 3 hour football game in about 1 hour and not miss much of the action - that is nice."
